I had another opportunity to prove its worth the other night.
As you may or may not know, I went to New York City Thursday with tickets to see Yankees games on Friday and Saturday and fly back Sunday morning. I got there and all is well....well, except for the weather - heavy rain in the forecast. But I still had hope.
Friday came - I went out and walked and walked and enjoyed being a "tourist".
Friday night I took the subway and arrived at the Stadium. Got in, went to the free restaurant (comes with the tickets) and ate a luscious meal. All day long it had been raining and although it wasn't heavy, the tarp was on the field and no one knew what was going to happen.
I finished my meal and went to my seats and just as I got to the seat, they postponed the game. Now, I had thought they would play a double header on Saturday and that would have been good since I could stay. But no, the double header was going to be on Sunday (and my game was going to be Sunday NIGHT) when I was supposed to be leaving.
All the way back to the hotel I kept saying "I declare it good" or "I see the good coming out of this".
By the time I got to the hotel I had formulated a plan. I would see if I could get tickets for Sunday's day game and see if I could make arrangements to stay an extra day. Many things had to fall into place but I was still in the "I declare it good" mode (and mood...lol).
So, the most important thing I did after declaring the situation good was to take action. This is a mistake many make - thinking that just saying affirmations will bring you what you want. You have to take action to demonstrate or manifest what you want. I had a list in my mind of what had to be done and as soon as I got back to the hotel, I worked my way down the list.
Bottom line is that I was able to stay for another day and as a result I saw one game on Saturday and two on Sunday and overall had THE BEST vacation in my entire life. And I know it's because I declared it good.
Try it some time and see if it works for you!
