She had three bouts of bad luck that caused her to have to abort the swim after 30 hours (and she thought that was a failure????): </p>
<p>1) an asthma attack lasting 11 hours &#8211; can you imagine swimming for 11 hours without being able to breathe? (I can&#8217;t imagine swimming 11 hours without an asthma attack)</p>
<p>2) sudden onset of pain in one shoulder that she never had before either </p>
<p>And </p>
<p>3) being besieged by jellyfish</p>
<p>But she didn&#8217;t quit working toward her goal! </p>
<p>She&#8217;s going to try again tonight &#8211; anticipated to be a 60 hour swim &#8211; just amazing!</p>
<p>Keep her in your thoughts and prayers please.</p>
<p>Did I mention that she just turned 62?</p>
