Steve Jobs Was A Living Legacy – May He Rest In Peace
by
Apple® announced that Steve Jobs has passed away. This is truly a sad day no matter what you think of Apple products. The man was definitely a living legend and changed the world of technology and computers. He had been battling cancer but it’s unknown what actually caused him to step down from the CEO position this summer.
Sad, too, that his death comes right after Apple announces a new iPhone. Takes some of the slam out of that announcement. If you look on Twitter and facebook and all around the web, people are mourning his loss. Even Major League Baseball (the thing I care about the most in these few days) lauds him (as do I) for creating a way to listen and watch baseball games from a mobile device.
But since you’re here to read about how to “get unstuck”, what can y
Affirmation of the Week
by
I take pleasure as others bestow upon me words of praise, letters of appreciation, award commendations, and provide promotions, bonuses, royalties, and benefits of glorious personal achievements. In turn I regularly give to those who have helped me along the way through giving others the gratitude for all I have achieved. My inner spirit overflows with joy.
“Declare It Good” Worked For Me
by
Over and over again I talk about using the “I declare it good” phrase when things don’t seem to be going well.
I had another opportunity to prove its worth the other night.
As you may or may not know, I went to New York City Thursday with tickets to see Yankees games on Friday and Saturday and fly back Sunday morning. I got there and all is well….well, except for the weather – heavy rain in the forecast. But I still had hope.
Friday came – I went out and walked and walked and enjoyed being a “tourist”.
Friday night I took the subway and arrived at the Stadium. Got in, went to the free restaurant (comes with the tickets) and ate a luscious meal. All day long it had been raining and although it wasn’t heavy, the tarp was on the field and no one knew what was going to happen.
I finished my meal and went to my seats and just as I got to the seat, they postponed the game. Now, I had thought they would play a double header on Saturday and that would have been good since I could stay. But no, the double header was going to be on Sunday (and my game was going to be Sunday NIGHT) when I was supposed to be leaving.
All the way back to the hotel I kept saying “I declare it good” or “I see the good coming out of this”.
By the time I got to the hotel I had formulated a plan. I would see if I could get tickets for Sunday’s day game and see if I could make
arrangements to stay an extra day. Many things had to fall into place but I was still in the “I declare it good” mode (and mood…lol).
So, the most important thing I did after declaring the situation good was to take action. This is a mistake many make – thinking that just saying affirmations will bring you what you want. You have to take action to demonstrate or manifest what you want. I had a list in my mind of what had to be done and as soon as I got back to the hotel, I worked my way down the list.
Bottom line is that I was able to stay for another day and as a result I saw one game on Saturday and two on Sunday and overall had THE BEST vacation in my entire life. And I know it’s because I declared it good.
Try it some time and see if it works for you!
Terrie
