Momentum Monday

momentum-monday1“Make a decision and then make the decision right. Line up your Energy with it. In most cases it doesn’t really matter what you decide. Just decide. There are endless options that would serve you enormously well, and all or any one of them is better than no decision.” ~Abraham [Excerpted from the workshop: Orlando, FL on February 21, 1998]

I have finally learned that no matter what decision I make, if I embrace it, love it and respect it, it will turn out great for me. When you second guess a decision, you are filled with doubt and that leads to negative thoughts, which, as you all know, will attract more negative thoughts and things. When you’ve attracted enough negativity by repeatedly doubting what you’ve done, then you should not be surprised that you now think it was the “wrong” decision that you made.  See how good we are at twisting things to mean what we want them to? It’s actually kind of funny.

If you are a Libra as I am, you’d be laughing even more right now. Libras bounce back and forth weighing the pros and cons over and over again. It often drives our friends and loved ones nuts. In fact, it often drives us nuts. I am chuckling as I write this.

Once you make a decision, declare it good and continue to do so no matter what seems to happen. Do NOT falter in this declaration. Don’t do the “what if” game. That will raise more doubts and doubts bring negative thoughts and change your vibrations to a lower plane.

Last year I had to withdraw from the race across Tennessee. I had been dreaming of accomplishing that for an entire year.  It took me a day to make the decision that it would be better for my overall health (I was injured) to withdraw than to try to keep on pushing and risk further injury.

I accepted it knowing I did the best I could and also knowing that I wanted to learn from my decision. I chose to think that it was a great decision. And you know what? I learned so much from that experience as well as that decision that this year’s event will be so much more of a success. Maybe I won’t finish this year, but maybe I will. I only know that I’m going in with greater knowledge and have done things completely differently in preparation. Whatever I have or haven’t done has been declared “good” and will serve me in some way as I make the trek again. Sure, I could sit here and worry that I haven’t trained enough but then I think back to last year when I was over trained and trained incorrectly. Look where that got me – nowhere useful. So this year, I’ve had some limitations forced upon me and I have declared them good and made the most of them!

I can’t help but “win” this year. What that means is that whatever happens will be considered “winning” by me!

Make your decision then declare it good and it will be. Every day look for the good from your decision. I guarantee you WILL find it!

Have a great week.

“A Body In Motion Stays In Motion”

bodies-in-motionWe’ve heard this in the TV ad for some arthritis medication and it’s very true. Your joints may, indeed, be very painful when you first try to move them but once you get them going, the lubricant within will start moving around and cushion the bones so they are not rubbing against one another. Once you’re up and about, you can continue to keep going without any problem. Your body is very happy moving around all the time because the pain is minimized.

In life, it’s the same. Procrastination or inertia keeps you from starting something – perhaps there’s a habit you wish to change and you know exactly what you want to do but you just “never get around to doing it” (I’ve certainly been there, done that and have plenty of the t-shirts).

However, once you get that first step taken and do something once, even if it’s just a part of what you planned, then it seems easy to keep doing it. Then you want to do it again. The next time, you’ve started to develop more “grooves” for the new habit and it’s easier to start – you might actually even be excited to start doing it. You could even get to the point where it’s hard for you to stop! Wouldn’t that be great. For you to get so happy about an activity that you have been avoiding for so long would be phenomenal.

Wouldn’t you like to see how this works. Pick a day and a time – oh, and of course, an activity. Put this “appointment” down on your calendar so you’re being held accountable for it (even if it’s just accountable to yourself). Then just do it. Even if you only do a tiny little bit. See how you feel afterwards. Journal about it. Then do the scheduling thing again and again until this becomes second nature to you!

Let me know how much motion you get!

It’s Not “All In Your Head” – It’s Really “All In Your Heart”

its-not-in-your-head-but-in-your-heartWhen someone tells you it’s all in your head, you can now correctly tell them that if it is, it’s not powerful at all.

What matters as far as influencing your life is concerned is what’s in your heart. It’s all about the feelings (and vibrations) you have. These feelings are what brings things into your life – both desired and not so desirable things. The Law of Attraction is not thought based alone. Of course, there are thoughts involved but it’s the feelings those thoughts generate that bring more of the same into your life.

For example, just to think “I have to pay my bills” does not necessarily create strong emotions. It could possibly be just an internal/mental “to do” list and then you move on to some other thought.

But, if you follow the “I have to pay my bills” with “nuts, I don’t have enough money in my account so I don’t know which ones I’m going to be able to pay this month. What am I going to do? I’m so worried.” This is an entirely different story. This type of thought definitely generates an emotional (and stressful) response. And one that focuses on lack at that. So you have a very strong vibration surrounding lack mentality. Guess what that will bring into your life – more lack!

See if you can change the above follow-on thought to “I have to pay my bills and I am really happy to be able to have enough money to help others pay their bills since there are people just like me that work for the companies I’m paying and I know they have families to support. It feels so great to be able to help them!” This is such a positive thought (and requires absolutely no more effort and no more money outlay on your part) that it will bring you positive results – others will be returning to you what they owe you and you’ll receive even greater benefits from the Universe. And it’s so easy to have thoughts like that. Just writing it made my vibrational level raise significantly. It felt like fun and made me very happy to have that thought of helping others just by doing something I have to do anyway.

This falls into the category of creating a “Better Feeling Thought”.

See what you can do this week when you start to have a thought that in the past you’ve perhaps followed a negative lead. See if you can turn that thought and its resultant feeling around to the positive!

Let us know what happens. Write in the comments section below.

Momentum Monday

momentum-monday1“As you practice your more positive, better-feeling story, in time your pleasure will become the dominant vibration within you, and then as you couple your pleasure with your means of earning, the two will blend perfectly and enhance each other.

There is no better way to earn money than to do the things that you love to do. Money can flow into your experience through endless avenues. It is not the choice of the craft that limits the money that flows—but only your attitude toward money.

—Abraham

Excerpted from the workshop: Money and the Law of Attraction on August 31, 2008”

This fits right in with what I recommended you do in the beginning of December and hopefully you’ve already been working on it. That is, writing your story for 2015 and designing your new life. Once you’ve written the year’s story the way you want it to unfold, you will continue to go back over it time and time again, enjoying the results as you feel them while visualizing the results of the story. Your momentum will increase each time you go through the story. That is why you want to fabricate the story to the point of bringing you immense joy. Since nothing has occurred yet, you can create anything your heart desires.

As you focus on the wonderful things for the coming year, your vibrations will reach out to the Universe and bring what you are asking for into your life. As Abraham says “there is no better way to earn money [insert anything you want instead of money if you want] than to do the things that you love to do.” When you are focusing on what you love to do, there is no resistance, no negativity to get in the way and prevent that which you desire from coming into your life.

Now get to work on your 2015 story if you haven’t finished it yet! Make it an Academy Award winner too!

It’s All About How You Look At Something

how-you-look-at-it-resized  It’s all about perspective. What we see is based on a number of factors.

1) What you’ve been taught (our beliefs)

2) What you’ve learned on your own

3) What you want to see (not always the same as what is really there)

4) The angle you’re looking from

5) Your eyesight – do you need glasses? Are you wearing glasses? Are they clean or do they have dirt on them that might be obscuring the situation/object? You’ve heard the expression about rose colored glasses.

6)  Your needs

7) Your anxiety level or level of calmness

8) Your past experiences

9) Your vision – are you colorblind?

There are many variables that lead to two people looking at the exact same situation and yet seeing it differently. How do you look at things? Are you trying to be objective and understanding? Do you take your time to examine all aspects of what you’re seeing? Do you examine the surroundings, not just the object? What has happened in your past that could be biasing you in your observation of this particular event/object?

People look at illness differently. They look at bills/debt differently? You could say that almost everything appears differently to each individual person. There isn’t much we can do about it except realize that it’s a fact and then make another CHOICE in our lives – make a decision to look at everything from a positive perspective. There are people out there who do just that. Often times we criticize them, calling them Pollyanna or “goodie two shoes” (never did know what that means but it fits here).  But these folks have the right attitude. Make the best out of everything should be our motto every day. Why? Because we want to activate the Law of Attraction to bring us more good things, not bad things.

I got started on this fairly early in my life – again, before I knew anything about the Law of Attraction. I developed these weird symptoms and was treated for a year for something it wasn’t. Finally I was sent to the neurologist who immediately said I was having seizures. That, by itself, was a big shock (but also a relief because now “it” had a name). However, he then told me that I either had epilepsy or a brain tumor and ordered a brain scan (back in the days when that was all they had to examine the brain). When I went back for the results he said I had epilepsy. I was never so happy to hear that diagnosis because it was much, much better than having a brain tumor. I have continued to be grateful all my life for a few reasons. My seizures have been completely controlled since I started on medication and I have had experiences (from the medication) that I have used to help me understand my patients better. I have had overdosages on the medication giving me strange feelings (symptoms) and even once I had to be put in the hospital. These events also helped me with dealing with my patients. If I had not experienced them, I wouldn’t have been able to understand what people go through when they talk to their doctors and the doctors don’t understand or pay attention to them. So, not only was I able to directly help individuals but also teach interns how to be more understanding and patient.

I was happy each time that I was alive and ok and that it would just take some time to recuperate and then I’d be back to normal. Each time I get an illness or injury, I look to see what it is that I can learn from it and how can I help others.

When you look at debt do you see the money you owe as helping others? Try it and try praising the money as it goes out into the universe in order to spread more wealth and abundance across the world. The money is being used to pay individuals even though that may be hard to see when paying big companies. But try to drill down and see the person opening the bill and then another one writing a check for their weekly groceries or being able to purchase school items for their kids, etc. There are so many ways to look at the bills you have and the money you are paying out. If you are blessing it and being grateful that you’re helping others, you will become more prosperous as the Universe returns blessings to you.

Try looking at things differently this week. Take a look, also, at how you’ve looked at things throughout your life. You’ll learn a lot about yourself for sure.
