Did You Know You Can Change Your Beliefs…And Change Your Life?

Did you know you can choose your beliefs? Your beliefs are just thoughts, standards or ideas that others have embedded in your subconscious mind so frequently that you came to believe them. You can change these thoughts. You can eliminate the ones you no longer choose to believe. Then you can replace those thoughts with beliefs you decide you want to adopt. Let’s talk about these things.

Your parents constantly told you things. Most were well intentioned and in an attempt to guide you through life in the way they thought was proper or to protect you. However, not all of their ideas are accurate nor did all of them serve you well. For example, I was always told I was no good with money. So guess what happened? Yep, that’s right. I grew up not really knowing how to manage my finances. I’m sure you’ve heard about the experiment where one teacher tells a group of poorly performing students how smart they are and that they are the best in the school etc. And lo and behold, they became the best and the smartest. The teacher believed in them and then they came to believe in themselves.  It’s all about what you believe.

Write down the first memory you have of a belief that you want to eliminate. You know the kind of beliefs I’m talking about. These are the things like, “You’re not good with money,” or, “If you didn’t go to college you won’t make money,” or, “You don’t have the personality for it,” or, “You don’t know enough. You’re not smart enough.” Write down any of those things and if possible when was the first time you heard it and who said it. Once you figure out who said it and where it came from, then the first thing you need to say is, “Why am I giving them the authority to make my life miserable and make me feel want, lack and limitation? Why am I today allowing something that heard 30 years ago to influence what I’m doing today?” That’s what you’re doing.

If somebody told you long ago, “Count your change. People want to cheat you,” then you’ll set yourself up to be cheated. Don’t believe that from somebody else. You say, “I am honest, therefore I only attract honest people to me. I will not accept what my great grandmother said about people and their honesty.”

Spend about 15 minutes every day listing beliefs that you now know you’ve had and do the same thing with them. These are not beliefs that you choose today. These things are so very important. The only way to get rid of them is to look at them and ask, “Why do I think that they knew?”

Keep these things in your journal. Review them frequently and most importantly keep the list of these beliefs updated. You’ll find more and more as you peel back the layers of that onion. If you want to find out more about how to continue replacing your beliefs why don’t you check out The Art of Making Things Happen

What You Can Learn At An Office Luncheon…

Who would have thought it? I don’t usually go to the office lunches but yesterday was a retirement and going away lunch for one of the guys so I felt obligated to go.

I ended up trading good for not-so-good.

I asked one of the guys I really like if I could ride with him. He said “sure” and that was alot of fun since we rarely get to talk together since we work in this big open room.

But we got to the place earlier than the others and the guy I was with went to the end of the table. So of course, it didn’t end up being the ones I would have chosen to sit by – at least on one side. On one side it was ok and I had fun harassing the  guy about the Yankees-Red Sox rivalry. But on the other and louder side someone ended up sitting with us that really opened my eyes.

I listened to this person for the entire time and wondered which of those qualities I was cringing from were also in me.

You see, we attract people that are like us. Notice I didn’t say that we attract people we like. It’s simply that people around us have characteristics that we don’t necessarily want to have. That was what I found out yesterday.

When I came home from work – after being saturated with the sensation of fingers grating across a chalkboard, I sat down, pulled out my paper and  made a list of what it was that drove me nuts during that experience. I just wrote quickly. Then I looked at the entire list and put check marks by those qualities that I realized were also within me.

I then went back over the list and put question marks by the qualities that I wasn’t sure were inside of me or not (odds are that they are there, though).

Then I went to my computer and made a list of denials using each of those qualities as the basis for one denial. I followed that by creating affirmations that would embed the qualities I really wanted to have inside of me.

For this next 3-5 days however, I will simply say the denials over and over all day long.

After that, I will then say the denials followed by affirmations for as long as it feels right AND I notice the beginnings of some changes in me.

Why don’t you take advantage of what I learned so that the next time you have an experience like mine, you can make the most of it. You know what else I did? I thanked the Universe for letting this happen to me – of course, I used my Gratitude Journal to record that thanks.

This has been another quick tip for making metaphysics work for you! Hope it was helpful.

How to Make Room For Your Good to Come Into Your Life

If you’re looking to change your life and want to receive good things and prosperity, look at your world. You have to examine the clutter in your life. Once you look at the clutter you need to create a vacuum. As you are creating the vacuum, you are also giving to others and have the potential to continually express your gratitude – one of the most powerful forces in the Universe. Let’s look at these factors.

If you have clutter in your life, how do you think the Universe will be able to bring you what you’re asking for? There isn’t room for it in your life. This can be physically or mentally but usually the physical is simply a reflection of the mental aspects. For example, if you want a new car take a look at your garage. Do you have it filled with cars or with junk even. If you have a two car garage and two cars, the Universe doesn’t see room in the garage for a new car. If you really need another car, you’re going to have to be putting one of the cars in the street or driveway so start parking whichever one it will be there now. Leave one side of the garage empty so that the Universe will see that you really mean it when you say you want one and that you’ve created space for it.  You have to clear things out to make room for your new good to come in.

As you’re cleaning out – whether your closet or your garage or other parts of your home – give away your old stuff. There are many people and organizations that need clothing or supplies and will be most grateful for whatever you have to give them. This act does a few things. It creates a vacuum and it also helps others. You couldn’t really give the Universe a more positive message. Be generous not only with your things but with your time, talent, money, gifts and even yourself and your inner feelings. Give, give, give.

As you’re able to do this cleaning and clearing, make sure you express your gratitude for being able to do this and for all the good you have in your life. Gratitude is a phenomenal power in moving the Universe to bring you what you’re asking for. Sing your thanks. Just as with affirmations, putting things to music is so much more powerful and will allow you to send wonderful vibrations to the Universe. In turn, the Universe will bring you your good.

Clearing out the clutter and giving to others who need things is just one of the many ways to activate the Universe to bring your new good to you. Find out more about how and why this works and what other techniques you should us in the Art of Making Things Happen

Don’t Criticize How Money Is Spent

Don’t criticize how money is spent or it will move out of your world.”

For those  of us in the United States, this is a perfect post given what our government is going through right now.
Think about what’s going on in the world today and how many people are really upset about the government, money and what’s happening.

Learn to bless it.

Bless it for the good that is coming out of it and for the lessons they’re learning and for the inspiration that is coming to you for how to handle money in a better way.

How To Get Anything You Want Using The Law of Supply & Demand

There is always enough supply to meet every demand. The Universe has plenty to provide. You just have to ask for it. One reason you don’t have as much as you want is that you’re never taught to ask for it. Another reason is that you think it’s wrong or selfish to ask for things (you’re taught that too as a child). And I’ll bet you also may not know what to ask for. I’ll be talking about each of these points here.

Even if you can’t see it, there is plenty of supply out there. Often what happens is that there is a demand and as a result another alternative is created. For example, if you allow yourself to believe that the world has run out of energy sources, you may create those circumstances. Look at the fact that hybrid cars and electric cars were created when the US started having problems with oil supply. That’s what happens. So rest assured that there is always enough supply for any demand – even yours!

There is a famous quote from the Bible – “Ask and it shall be given.” That is the truth no matter who you are or what you believe. You are never taught to ask for more. In fact, you were probably told that it’s not nice to ask for more than “your due.” If you believe in the Universal Laws (one of which is the Law of Attraction), then you should try asking for what it is you want.

Were you taught that it is not nice or selfish to ask for things? Were you always told that you should be content with what you have because there are others who don’t have anything? If so, this is a limiting belief that you must work to clear from your subconscious. It is right for you to ask for whatever it is you want or need. Make the affirmation “this is what I choose and it is mine by Divine Right.” Remember that if there is always enough supply for any demand, then everyone can have whatever it is they want – they just have to ask for it.

Do you know what it is you really want to ask for? Are you one of those who bounces back and forth about what you want? One day you want a better job. The next week you want a raise in the same job. Then another week, you decide you don’t want to work at all. How on earth is the Universe supposed to know what it is you really want? You have to be able to determine what you want and then you have to define specifics about that particular desire. Don’t just say “I want a new car” because if you do, you’re liable to get a car that’s not really what you want or one that you’re happy with. Write down what color, what make, how much horsepower, how many doors, what miles per gallon etc. Write down everything about your goal. Then you focus on it and you’ll be much more likely to receive it.

The next logical step is to learn how the universal laws all interact and how you can actually put them into action to create what you want in your life. You can find out exactly how to create your ideal life in The Art of Making Things Happen
