Taking Action Is Important….Did You Take The Survey?

Interesting results (or lack of them) from yesterday’s email and post. Some of you jumped right over and took the holiday struggle survey and I appreciate your effort.

Those people make changes in their lives because they take Action! Action is what the Universe loves. Maybe it doesn’t seem like much to you – you’re sitting there saying “how much action is there in taking a little survey?”.

More than you know. Just the fact that these folks clicked on the survey link  stimulated their brain because they actually took action on something they read, processed, and decided (key point) to do something about.

“Ok, well my action was a decision not to bother with the survey. Doesn’t that count as action?”

That’s a great question and it’s dependent on how whether or not you actually processed the information you received about the holiday struggles, decided that you didn’t have any problems with the holidays and/or didn’t need to take any action this year.

If that describes the few microseconds your mind worked after you read the email, then that’s great and you took Action.

Be honest with yourself now. Is that what happened inside your noggin? Did you really take action?

Why don’t you ask yourself these questions consciously right now:

1) Do I like or dislike the holiday season?

2) If I like it, why? What is it that makes it special for me?

3) If I don’t like it, what is it about these few weeks that
bothers me? Is it….

  •     The family all gets together and we don’t get along
  •     Everyone drinks too much and start to argue
  •     I don’t have enough time to get everything done
  •     I don’t have enough money to get ____ (fill in a name) what they want for the holiday and I feel cruddy that  I can’t get it for them.
  •     I eat too much
  •     The New Year is scary for me. I’m supposed to have developed some goals and I don’t have any and don’t know how to have a good goal
  •      Another year’s gone and wasted and I didn’t do anything with my life
  •     Etc

4) What are my feelings when I think about the Holidays?

5) Am I excited about the New Year coming and I can start anew.

6) If I’m not excited, why not?

7) Would I like to change how I feel about the holidays?

Once you have asked yourself these 7 questions, you have taken Action! Even if you don’t go take the survey (although I would really like you to – it only takes a couple of minutes and doesn’t cost anything), you have still taken action because you’ve exercised your brain.

Congratulations! Now let me know what you think about struggling – just go over and answer a few questions.

If you’re not having a great time at the holidays, we can help you.

Why Take The Survey

I’m offering coaching to help people get through the holidays. This comes in two forms: Individual coaching (via phone) and a small 3-4 week class. The class is title “Telling A Different Story To Get Through The Holidays”) and will help you look at the areas that are keeping you from having a great holiday season or feeling as spiritual as you’d like. Once you know the areas, you’ll learn the story you’re currently telling and then, most importantly, how to change that and tell a different story.

The Individual coaching option will also help you “Tell A Different Story” to make this holiday season better than ever.

I need feedback from you to know which option you want.

Take some more action by taking the survey and tell me IF you have problems with the holidays and find yourself struggling each year and then if you’d like to change that and no longer struggle.

Thanks for letting me know what’s going on with you.

Stop Struggling – Dealing With “What-is-itis”

Well, I did go to the Abraham workshop yesterday and although it was more wonderful information, I did NOT experience the energy levels I had hoped for. That said, however, I would attend every single one of them if I could. It’s a phenomenal experience that I recommend to everyone. Abraham (and Esther) is quite a character and tells it like it is! I resisted much temptation though and only purchased one item (those of you that know me know that was a major accomplishment). However, before I pat myself on the back so much I must confess that part of the reason for that was that I had most of what was on display…LOL.

In the aftermath of yesterday’s workshop I figured it was time to get to what’s coming up for most of us- the holidays. I know that a general theme is “Struggle” when it comes to the holidays.

If you were in the FAVE class or even if you were on the webinar the introduced that class you’ll remember that we get more of what we experience. And that “what is” is really old history. This is how Abraham puts it. Anne and I would tell you that you are what you THOUGHT – a major variation on what people commonly say “you are what you think”. In reality, what is today is a product of what you created (past tense) with your thoughts and feelings leading up to its manifestation. Did you know that you can change that? Do you want to change your “what is”? Do you want to stop struggling with the holidays? Wouldn’t it be great to have an easy time of it this year? No worries, no problems, just love, happiness and spirituality as it should be?

Here is today’s Abraham quote and one that is so applicable to what we’re talking about in this post:

What-is has no bearing on what is coming unless you are continually regurgitating the story of what is. By thinking and speaking more of how you really want your life to be, you allow what you are currently living to be the jumping-off place for so much more. But if you speak predominantly of what-is, then you still jump off —but you jump off into more of the same.

I’m thinking of having a class for 4 weeks “Telling a Different Story – Making The Holidays Pleasurable”. AND I want to offer individual coaching to help you get through the holidays too.

But I want to know what you want. So, I created a survey to find out what everyone is interested in. Please hop over to “Do you struggle with  the holidays” survey and answer a couple of questions for me. I’d really appreciate it.

Happy Veterans’ Day everyone (as you know I’m a 30 year veteran of the Navy and have been working for the Army now for 8 1/2 years)!

The “Chain Reaction” of Thoughts and Vibrations..

I’m so excited! Today is the day I get to attend an Abraham-Hicks workshop in person. I’ve been looking forward to this for several months now. I feel like a kid at Christmas. Being around Abraham and feeling the vibrations of all the other folks in the room will be invigorating to say the least.

And how I feel about this and what I’m expecting is a perfect lead-in for today’s quote and discussion:

Every thought that you think is vibrating at a very personal frequency . . . and by the powerful Law of Attraction (the essence of that which is like unto itself, is drawn), that thought is now attracting another thought that is its Vibrational Match. And now, those combined thoughts are vibrating at a frequency that is higher than the thought that came before; and they will now, by the Law of Attraction, attract another and another and another, until eventually the thoughts will be powerful enough to attract a “real life” situation or manifestation.

This is pretty cool – AND very key to what happens to each of us and why each of us is so very different. I underlined and highlighted the word “personal”. What happens in my brain/being is definitely NOT the same as what will happen in yours – EVEN IF we were to think about the very same thing.

That’s because of this “chain reaction” type effect. I could tell 5 people to think this one thought. But since we are intelligent beings we can’t just stop with one thought (the problems experienced when trying to learn meditation – our minds go a mile a minute) each of them would then follow on with different thoughts. A thought is a small “thing” which rarely (if ever) exists by itself.  Usually we process hundreds or thousands of thoughts at a time. The essential key is to channel these thoughts so that they lead to what you want. Do NOT let the other thoughts intercede and interfere. Once you think a negative thought, this will attract another and then another and before you know it, even though you started down a positive road, you’re now back to your negative thinking.

Let’s take an example – You start to think about receiving a gift from the Universe of $1000.  Once you realize this chain reaction process you’ll consciously have your next thought be gratitude or appreciation. You’ll put a vision (thought) in your mind of a big smile on your face (I’m smiling now just thinking about this), then you’ll think about receiving the money (you can pick how – do you want to be surprised by opening it in an envelope?, have someone come to your door with it?, find it under your door mat? have it added to your paycheck? etc – the fun part of all this is that you get to pick – remember, though, you do NOT want to ‘outline’ for the Universe HOW it is to bring it to you). Then your next thought could be holding it (either the real money or a check perhaps – you pick) and touching it making sure it’s real. And then you can think about what you’d do with it and on and on. You’ll be really smiling by the time you’re done with all the conscious thoughts.

Now what really happens most of the time is this: I tell you to think about receiving $1000 from the Universe. Maybe you get that far but then go to “yeah right…that would never happen to me…I don’t have any luck…..”. Or maybe you can see yourself receiving it but when you get to the what you would do with it, you start thinking about all the bills you have and who you owe what to and then you start thinking about LACK again. And the lack thoughts then lead to more lack thoughts etc.

So, for the next week you should consciously pay attention to everything you think – every single thing. When you catch yourself turning down the negative path, go back to the first thought and get yourself back on the positive path. Will you try that for me – just for a week – or even a few days? Let us know what a difference this makes in how you feel. I am pretty sure you’ll see a major difference once you keep yourself on that positive road. Practicing the Law of Attraction simply by practicing your individual thoughts is like the child learning to walk – first they crawl and they may stumble getting up on those two feet but you know what? They may fall back to all fours but they keep trying to get up – the child’s determination is unwavering and that’s what I want for you. Having a coach can also help you with this. Posting in the comment section below is another way to get others to support you. Let me know what’s going on this coming week!

The Holidays Are Almost Here….

Can you believe that Thanksgiving is in less than 2 weeks now and then the even more mad rush toward the New Year.

Are you already telling the same old story? “How will I ever make it through?”, “I don’t have any time to myself”,  “I hate the holidays”, “The holidays are not about spiritual things, it’s all monetary now – they’ve lost their meaning”, etc.  What are some of the stories you’ve told over the years?

This is a perfect time to change your story. Remember that when we tell a story, we’re creating more of the same. And then we wonder why we don’t get what we want. Start by telling a different story – “I really love the holidays”, “I can get through them with total calm and enjoyment”, “I am never pressed for time”, “My family enjoys this spiritual time”, etc.

Try this every day in your life. You’ll hear me talk about telling a different story over and over again because it’s such an important part of our life.

Did you know that you could use a coach to get through the holidays? I’ll be offering a “special” soon for a select group of people to help them get through the holidays. You’ll want to watch the website and your email to take advantage of this offer.

The Law of Attraction at Work in New York..

Well yesterday was the first time I’d spoken with my trainer (Dan) since he went to New York. He was like a little kid at Christmas. He is a very positive man and his fiance is also extremely positive (he describes her as “bubbly” and she’d probably shoot him for using that term but oh well). He talked about how friendly everyone was in New York. For the past year he’d been quizzing me about “would he get mugged”, “what would happen if I look people in the eye and smile at them” etc.  He said that almost everyone smiled back. He also said that every place they went things returned to normal just before they got there. For example, when they would get on the subway, they would hear that another part of the line just opened up or that when they would get somewhere the power would have been restored to such and such a place.

The cutest part was when he was ready to propose. I think he had a certain place in mind but when they got to Central Park he found this fountain and there was a choir singing and he felt it was the perfect place. It went so magically that even people around him got pictures and videos for them to keep.

He was so effusive and it was very obvious that this man and his fiance brought the magic of their energy with them wherever they went. It was amazing to listen to. It’s as if they had a protective and rewarding bubble around them – they only attracted those who matched their attitude and energy. This is really what the Law of Attraction is all about. People who are grumpy don’t want to be around those who are so happy all they can do is smile. And those who are positive and ecstatic with life don’t want to be around those who are grumpy and try to bring others down. Just like oil and vinegar.

What is your energy saying today? What kind of bubble is surrounding you? Who are you attracting into your life?
