Momentum Monday

momentum-monday1“Make a decision and then make the decision right. Line up your Energy with it. In most cases it doesn’t really matter what you decide. Just decide. There are endless options that would serve you enormously well, and all or any one of them is better than no decision.” ~Abraham [Excerpted from the workshop: Orlando, FL on February 21, 1998]

I have finally learned that no matter what decision I make, if I embrace it, love it and respect it, it will turn out great for me. When you second guess a decision, you are filled with doubt and that leads to negative thoughts, which, as you all know, will attract more negative thoughts and things. When you’ve attracted enough negativity by repeatedly doubting what you’ve done, then you should not be surprised that you now think it was the “wrong” decision that you made.  See how good we are at twisting things to mean what we want them to? It’s actually kind of funny.

If you are a Libra as I am, you’d be laughing even more right now. Libras bounce back and forth weighing the pros and cons over and over again. It often drives our friends and loved ones nuts. In fact, it often drives us nuts. I am chuckling as I write this.

Once you make a decision, declare it good and continue to do so no matter what seems to happen. Do NOT falter in this declaration. Don’t do the “what if” game. That will raise more doubts and doubts bring negative thoughts and change your vibrations to a lower plane.

Last year I had to withdraw from the race across Tennessee. I had been dreaming of accomplishing that for an entire year.  It took me a day to make the decision that it would be better for my overall health (I was injured) to withdraw than to try to keep on pushing and risk further injury.

I accepted it knowing I did the best I could and also knowing that I wanted to learn from my decision. I chose to think that it was a great decision. And you know what? I learned so much from that experience as well as that decision that this year’s event will be so much more of a success. Maybe I won’t finish this year, but maybe I will. I only know that I’m going in with greater knowledge and have done things completely differently in preparation. Whatever I have or haven’t done has been declared “good” and will serve me in some way as I make the trek again. Sure, I could sit here and worry that I haven’t trained enough but then I think back to last year when I was over trained and trained incorrectly. Look where that got me – nowhere useful. So this year, I’ve had some limitations forced upon me and I have declared them good and made the most of them!

I can’t help but “win” this year. What that means is that whatever happens will be considered “winning” by me!

Make your decision then declare it good and it will be. Every day look for the good from your decision. I guarantee you WILL find it!

Have a great week.

Momentum Monday

momentum-monday1“Not only does the thought you are choosing right now attract the next thought and the next . . . and so on—it also provides the basis of your alignment with your Inner Being. As you consistently and deliberately think and speak more of what you do want and less of what you do not want, you will find yourself more often in alignment with the pure, positive essence of your own Source; and under those conditions, your life will be extremely pleasing to you.”  ~Abraham (Excerpted from the workshop: Money and the Law of Attraction on August 31, 2008)

Remember how important it is to choose your thoughts. Don’t just let them come to you randomly. Or, if they do, then use something like “that is not my truth” if it’s a negative thought. Or, immediately switch to something positive.

This requires some effort for awhile because you’re trying to change a habit. You have to make a commitment to change if you want to be in better alignment more often.

You’ve heard the expression “boy, you got out of the wrong side of the bed today”.  This happens when your thoughts get into alignment but it’s not necessarily an alignment you’ve chosen. It happens when your thoughts randomly flow and began with one negative thought..when one negative thought begins the train and you don’t change it, more negative thoughts are attracted into your mind. And as Abraham says above, you get into alignment with the negative.

Examine each of your thoughts as they occur. If you don’t do it as the singular thought occurs, at least try to check in with your mind as soon as you detect any evidence of negative alignment. Maybe it’s that your shoulders are slumping. Maybe it’s your heart rate increasing or even your respirations. It can be a physical clue – you know your body. It can be a verbal clue – you know what you say when things are not going great inside your mind. It can be an emotional clue – perhaps you’re getting angry or irritable and don’t really know why. Or something someone does every day is bothering you today whereas it doesn’t usually bother you on other days. These are clues that your mind has gone off on its own and is now aligning with the negative.

You can stop it right there if you make some effort. Start thinking of something good that can come from the not so good thing happening right now. Then what could happen based on that good thing? Why does this have to be a negative situation? Have you had experiences in the past that you initially thought were negative and going against you but in the long run turned out to work in your favor? I know that’s happened to me many times.

Pay attention to your thoughts and then the alignment you’re in. Do something about it!

Momentum Monday

momentum-monday1“Law of Attraction is Universal, and every person is affected by it. And it is always true that what I think and what I feel and what I get are always a match, and there is not a person on the planet that did not know that when they were born, and there is not a person on the planet that would not benefit by knowing it. But many, many, many are not yet asking and therefore are not yet ready for the answer. And so, we would say that — although everyone wants this information — everyone is not necessarily ready for it. We would not spend any time trying to convince anybody of anything because if they’re not asking, your answers are just irritating.” ~Abraham [Excerpted from the workshop: San Diego, CA on February 07, 1998]

If you remember nothing else from what I talk about remember this:

“What I think and what I feel and what I get are ALWAYS a match”!

I have given you so many personal examples of how this has worked that I am often almost afraid to have any thoughts – not really but trying to get my point across. But you bet I’m always cognizant of what I’m thinking and then especially of what I’m feeling about that thought. It is the feeling that makes the difference. If you just have a thought and let it go, then there’s no “damage” done. But if you dwell on something and start to input your emotions, then you’ll get more of “it” – whether it’s wanted or unwanted. The Universe doesn’t know the difference and doesn’t care. It is just there to bring you what you are putting emotion (vibration) into. That can be by thinking about what you do want but it can also be what you are repeatedly saying you don’t want…but it will bring you more of what you don’t want because that is what you are focusing on.

If you are saying that you want to have a lot of money so you can pay your bills but then focus on the bills instead of the wealth and prosperity, you will get more bills instead of more money.

Your job is to pay attention to what you are thinking and feeling and then make sure they are in alignment with what you want to receive. Try this out. It will teach you a lot about yourself too.

Oh, the second part of this week’s quote just tells you to not bother to try to explain the Law of Attraction or the other Universal Laws to those who aren’t curious about them because they won’t care and you’ll just irritate them. When someone is ready, they will ask!

Momentum Monday

momentum-monday1“You have the ability to pivot under any and all conditions. But most of you are habitual in nature, and your patterns are so well entrenched that at times the fastest path to the joy you seek is for you to take your pivot as you sleep. By reaching for good-feeling thoughts before you go to sleep and then experiencing the benefit of the quiet mind that occurs while you sleep—and then upon awakening, immediately turning to good-feeling thoughts—you can accomplish the ultimate Pivoting experience.”
~Abraham [Excerpted from the workshop: Money and the Law of Attraction on August 31, 2008]

Pivoting is a cool technique to cultivate. It’s turning your feelings around. When you’re feeling sad, you find things to think about that will make you happy. With intention and practice this can make your day absolutely wonderful. But, as Abraham says, we are such creatures of habit that we tend to stay in the one mood and often spiral even more downward. That tends to be what makes us “happy” – to stay where we are. Even though we profess to not like being in that unhappy state, we don’t seem to want to do anything to change it. Some of that I think is our victimization behavior. We think that it’s the external world that has made us unhappy at that moment and therefore we have no control and it’s the external world that will have to make us happy again. That couldn’t be farther from the truth. The external world doesn’t make us unhappy. We interpret events around us and internalize them and use our emotions to determine whether we feel happy, unhappy or even just neutral (it doesn’t affect us at all). It’s not the world that makes us feel a certain way. It’s the way we interpret things based on our previous experiences.

Since Abraham recognizes that we’re such creatures of habit, he discusses how to get the joy you want. At night, just before going to sleep, you reach for those better feeling thoughts (what I call the “Kodak Moments”) and focus on them as you drift off to sleep. This will work on your spirit and mind while you sleep all night and provide you the joy you seek.

Try this for a week every night and see how you feel in the morning!

Momentum Monday

momentum-monday1“You might say, “How do I know if I’m in a receiving mode or not?” And we say, you always feel good when you’re in a receiving mode. When someone offers you a compliment, do you receive it, or do you sort of just shrug it off? There’s something about believing that you must justify your existence through your effort or through your perseverance, through your struggle. And many of you just have not practiced the receiving mode.” ~Abraham [Excerpted from the workshop: Spokane, WA on May 19, 2001]

This is great! How do you feel? Remember that it’s all about feelings. I was definitely in the receiving mode a few weeks ago when I received many compliments about my presentation. In fact, there were more compliments than I had ever had…..and I know that it was because I was calm and very open to accepting them. Usually I do as Abraham says “just shrug them off”. But I was very receptive at that time and as a result, more and more of the compliments flowed in.

Allow yourself to bask in your success – whether it’s your success in accomplishing something specific or a success in allowing the Universe to deliver what you ask for. If you leave your doorstep uncluttered and have your address clearly marked on the street and mailbox, you’ll receive all the packages you’ve ordered very easily. The delivery person (the Universe) does not have to search and search and cut through shrubs or other obstacles to deliver your order. Mark the way clearly and see how everything you ask for comes quickly.

This works not just with compliments but with everything you “order” from the Universe. Once you’ve placed your order (told the Universe exactly what you want), sit back and rejoice in having it even if it hasn’t arrived at your door yet. Feel (and act) as if you have it in your possession. This feeling is often more pleasant and energy producing than actually having it in your hands. Have you ever anticipated something so much and for so long that you feel as if you’re on top of the world – even though it hasn’t come to you yet? That’s being in the receiving mode. Just relaxing and letting things come to you, knowing that you’re cradled in the protective arms of the Universe; knowing that your every wish really does come true. You just need to be sure you know what you are wishing for because the Universe delivers what you focus on. So focus on the wonderful things you want.

Be in the receiving mode all the time if you can! It will make a big difference in your life. Just know that whatever is coming to you is what you deserve so sit back and simply say “thank you”.
