The third type of prayer – affirmations – should be used with denials. When you use denials, you erase, dissolve, liquidate. You then wish to make firm new good, which you do through affirmative prayer.

A businessman was deep in debt and tried to get a loan from the bank. But he wasn’t given the loan because he had poor credit.  In desperation, he decided to say “no” to his indebtedness and “yes” to prosperity.

He constantly affirmed “God prospers me now”. Within a few days after he began declaring this, he made the largest sale he had ever made – then he was able to pay off his debts, with much left over.

Immunize Yourself Against Negativity

We’ve talked about this before but it can never be said too many times.

The denial attitude of mind and prayer does NOT invite trouble by discussing it. The denial attitude mentally says “no” to talk by others which emphasizes less than the best or that gives attention to what you don’t want to experience.

Instead of multiplying problems by discussing them loudly and for a long time, instead of worrying about world conditions or the problems of others, do whatever you constructively can do to make them right. Use the “No, I will not accept this as lasting, permanent or necessary” attitude toward everything.

When people try to upset or bother you with a lot of negative talk, mentally say “No, no, no. I do not wish to hear this. I do not accept this as true or necessary. Soon they will either switch to  more constructive topics or leave.

Similarly, instead of  thinking that you have to ‘Put up with’ dissatisfaction in your life as a permanent arrangement, use your “no” power by declaring often: “No, I do not have to accept this situation. God in His almighty goodness is dissolving and removing all negativity from my world. No situation dismays me, for God the Spirit of Good is with me, upholding and sustaining me and making all things right.”

Use this prayer of denial for financial issues: “Regardless of taxes, the cost of living or that rate of unemployment, my financial income can and does increase richly now through the direct action of God.”

When you dare to use your ‘no’ power of mind on a loud, unhappy situation, you then gain mental and emotional control of it, rather than letting it control you. You are then shown what outer, positive steps to take to meet it head on. You’ve cleared a space in your mind for this information to be placed in your mind. When you’re worrying about a situation there is no space for these new ideas and guidance to enter.

Say “NO” To Unhappiness

It’s so important to say “no” to unhappy experiences rather than bowing to them.

Use this: “There is nothing for me to fear. God’s good is at work and divine results are coming forth.” Use this to dissolve fear, worry, tension and anxiety.

How to Dissolve Fear, Worry and Tension

Prayers of denial dissolve fear, worry, sorrow, sickness, tension and other negative emotions. These “No” prayers seem to neutralize the effects of negation.

When you use these second and third types of prayer – denial and affirmation – realize that they are as much attitudes of the mind as they are formal methods of prayer. You can use them silently or verbally wherever you are.

If you feel rushed and faced with an impossible task, try this:
“There is no need to rush. Divine Order is now established and maintained in this situation.”

So many people get the idea that someone else can keep their good from them. They go through life unhappily believing this. Prayers of denial can dissolve these beliefs. If you catch yourself thinking in a limited manner, simply declare “Nothing can oppose my good.”

When you have overcome your fear of any problem, you have gained control over it. It no longer controls you.
