Affirmations Are a Form of Command

The daily practice of verbal and silent affirmation is the simplest way of invoking the law of command to create good. In fact, the use of affirmations is such a simple way of bringing forth rich results that many people mistrust it, looking for a more complicated path to prosperity.

The word “affirm” means “to make firm”. Through verbally affirming or declaring the good you want, rather than continuing to talk about what you don’t want, you begin to make firm in the mind and in the invisible ethers the good you desire. as you continue to affirm the desired good, it rushes forth as a visible result.

Never ever under estimate  the power of your words. You make your world with your words. If you don’t like the world you previously made with words of discord, lack, limitation and hard times, you can begin building a new world of limitless good and prosperity by changing your words of command.

Try taking affirmative statements that meet your needs and declare them over and over verbally for at least 15 minutes or perhaps for 5 minutes three times a day (you can even break that down more by doing a set of affirmations at a stoplight or in traffic or while walking from the parking lot to the store etc – that will help keep them in your mind more). If you can’t say them aloud, write them out dozens of times.

One general but effective affirmation is: “I love the highest and best in all people. I now draw to myself the highest and best people” – this could mean customers, clients, patients, friends, etc.

Or this: “Everything and everybody prospers me now and I prosper everything and everybody now.”

What do you have to lose by trying these two simple affirmations. I can tell you that repeated use of affirmations will make a difference in your life.

Remember though, that we are not advocating that you ONLY do affirmations. Although they will make a difference in your life, there are many other aspects as we’ve covered in the past few weeks that will open your mind to receive what you are affirming.

Do me a favor – just say these for a few weeks. See what happens. Let me know.

You Command Through Words

You are currently using the Law of Command – you are constantly making decrees. Often they are the wrong kind of decrees, producing what you do not want.

There was a businessman who continually had problems with his right arm and it befuddled the doctors. What they didn’t know (and probably wouldn’t have put together anyway) was that the man was always saying “I’d give my right arm if I could…..”

Most of our problems can be traced to our thoughtless remarks.

Do your feet bother you? Do you say “If I could only get on my feet…..”?

Another woman was deaf in one ear – her favorite expression was “I’m going to turn a deaf ear to that” for things that she didn’t want to hear.

Consider using this test on your words before you utter them:

Is it true?
Is it kind?
Is it needful?

Even if something is true, if it is not kind then it definitely is not needful.

Catherine Ponder wrote that she found that 99 out 100 times people did not solve their problems until they not only knew but fully used the law of command. You must daily, consciously and deliberately assert the good you want.

Today take some time to look at your words – write them down as you go through the day, then take a look at the list tonight and see what it reveals about you.

The Prosperity Law of Command

Catherine Ponder continues with her Dynamic Laws of Prosperity!

The word “command” means “to have authority or control”.

Through an attitude of authority, you can take control of the good which you wish to experience in life.  You must climb to the summit and look out over your world with a feeling of authority and control which then produces like results.

The secret of the law of command is: A positive assertion of the good you wish to experience is often all that is needed to turn the tide of events to produce good for you swiftly and easily.

It’s amazing how fast doors open to you when you dare take control of a situation and command your high expectations to manifest themselves.

Even in Genesis Jehovah created the earth by commanding “Let there be….and there was” (Genesis 1)

The Law of Command is one of the easiest to use. After you made your list of desires and after you’ve imaged them as being fulfilled, it is then time to release the substance of them into words of decree and command which can move the ethers into action.  What you decree you get. The Bible promises “Thou shalt decree a thing and it shall be established unto thee and light shall shine upon thy ways.” (Job 22:28)

This is where many people fall down in creating their success and prosperity. They fail to command – they fail to ask. The Universe is there just waiting to deliver what you want. You just have to ask.

Review how well you’ve worked the previous laws (the creative law of prosperity and the imaging law of prosperity). If you’ve come up with your specifics and have imaged them, you’re ready to move on and command the universe to bring your desires to you!

Image Your True Desires

This is important to reiterate – don’t compromise in your mental images. Image what you REALLY want, not just what you think you can probably have. Pay no attention to your will and reason – they will try to talk you out of mental images. Your active imagination will soon take control of your will and put it in its place, if you will first take control of the imagination by feeling it the mental pictures of what you deeply and sincerely want.

If you feed your imagination half-hearted, lukewarm, mental pictures, that’s the kind of results you’ll get. Since they won’t be what you want, you’ll have to start all over again, imaging what you really want. Do it right in the beginning and save yourself double work.

It is up to you to make the image. You now know there is not need to fight or force your good to you. Instead, just get busy and quietly image it in detail as you wish it to be. Then declare this regarding those images: “Thy unlimited good will be done!”

It is true that man becomes what he imagines, and that man’s continuous imagination is sufficient to remold or create anything!

Find out for yourself! Join us in making your dreams come true. Just remember to get specific in your imaging.

I love this easy technique. It just involves picturing what you really want and then seeing how it is detailed.

Phrase of the Week

“Rich people are greedy” – where have you heard that. Have you heard people talk about Bill Gates and all the charitable work he does, especially for AIDS, and then people always end with “yeah, if I had that much money, I could afford to do what he does too.” or “Yeah, but think of the tax break he gets”, or something along those lines. Why don’t you try to stop without the “yeah, but” on it.

If you’ve been “taught” (meaning your subconscious has been programmed) that rich people are greedy. And if you’ve been taught that you shouldn’t be greedy, guess what? You’ll NEVER be rich! How do you like that? Examine your belief systems.

Until tomorrow…
