Influential Laws That Govern Your Life – Part 12

rule 12Law of Power

The Law of Dominion is the recognition that you do have dominion and that you can do everything. Power is the energy that makes it work.

The definition of the Law of Power is that you have to know and understand that this power, this divine substance is available and it works because you live, move and have your being within that power. It’s the power of the Universe that holds all things in their place. It’s the power that holds the start, sun and moon where they’re supposed to be. It makes air and water available to us.

When you know that this power is available and that it works in and through your thoughts and actions, then you take the Law of Dominion and take charge of things. That’s where the responsibility comes in, when you have to combine the two laws.

You use it by determining that you and God, you and Spirit are the majority. You stand firmly on doing that which is yours to do.

Determining what is yours to do comes from the hunches, ideas, thoughts and feelings that this divine idea that came to you is something you were meant to do. Everyone is here for a purpose and we’re the only ones who know that purpose.

The individual is the only one who knows what they are supposed to do. You take responsibility when you realize that if you have an idea, it’s yours to do.

Use the two laws together – use it any time you feel overwhelmed. Any time somebody tells you or you think ti’s going to take a long time for something to happen or that there’s difficulty to overcome, or that more is needed for you to be ready.

Add to your affirmations “the easiest, quickest way possible”.

It’s like a light switch. The raw power is there but we have to use the wires coming to the switch (which are all the different laws) in order to turn it on and turn it loose. You can turn this power on when you know and understand that it’s available and does work.

God and substance are passive. Nothing is ever forced upon us. The energy is passive. We have to invite it into our lives. The more you grow in spiritual awareness, the less you tell others what to do. You realize that everybody has to do it on their own. You cannot force another person or tell them how to do it.

The most important thing to understand here is that any idea you get is yours to do AND that you DO have the power to do it. Always remember that.

rule 11Law of Dominion

When you first start working on something, you don’t realize that you have dominion, that you have to accept your own responsibility. You have to be able to say “This is what I want. I am willing to do whatever it takes to achieve this in my own life.” You can’t depend on others…and then blame them for “not doing their share”!

You have to be willing to do what it takes, whether you have help or not. That’s the point where you will really start demonstrating on big levels. You have to take charge of your world. You are God in expression. You have to claim it, accept it and be willing to use your own authority by saying “I can do all things.” It sometimes helps to say “The spirit in me can do all things.”

You have to stop depending on human help in order to get it. You do eventually get help from everybody and the Universe, but you can’t say how we’re going to get it or who’s going to help us. That’s the “outlining” part that you shouldn’t do.

It’s better to believe for yourself that you have the spiritual direction. You are the one that was given the message of what you have to do. The Divine idea that you receive is yours to do. You are the one that has to make the decision on what you are doing, when you’re doing it and how you’re doing it.

You use the Law of Dominion any time you’re in doubt. When someone mentions blocks, you say “I have no blocks. I am in charge. I will do whatever is best done by me.” Use it any time you hear delay.

Use it in conjunction with the Law of Mental Acceptance. When you begin to mentally accept what it is that you’re supposed to have in your life, then you realize that having been given this desire, this idea, it’s yours to do.

When you hear “maybe it wasn’t meant to be” simply say “that’s not my truth. I don’t believe it.” I believe that if it’s given to you, it’s yours by divine right. You claim it as yours by divine right. Then you do what comes up. You make your list of goals and dreams. Know that it’s something you have to do for yourself.

The Laws of Mental Acceptance and Dominion go together. You mentally accept that this is possible for you to do because you have dominion over your own world.

You have to take charge and say what you do and don’t want in your world and be willing to do the tings that are necessary. That’s combining.

It’s important that you use this law as you slowly gain dominion over your words and thoughts so you aren’t saying things that have dire consequences any more (e.g. “Get down from there – you’ll break your neck”).

You have to realize that when you use a lot of strength, anger and hostility, this makes things happen quickly but it’s not the way you want it to happen.

Use this law carefully until you learn the power of your words, what not to say and what not to use in your own words.

rule 10Law of Compensation

If you have a chance, you should read this Law as discussed by Ralph Waldo Emerson in his “Essays” [http://www.bartleby.com/5/105.html].

This law says that there has to be an energy exchange in every activity between two or more people. Every action of good you receive has to have a payment. If you give it, you have to get a payment back.

Any time people say “Oh, I can never repay you,” you are really saying “That’s not true. You can.” Give them some options. It can be saying “thank you, getting you a card”, “take me to lunch”, or “buy me a Coke”. There has to be an energy exchange. That’s the definition of it.

What kind of “payments” do you use? Of course there’s money, but there are other types of payment as well. There’s gratitude, love, appreciation, wisdom, Joy or anything you can think of that helps give another person a greater sense of togetherness. You are receiving something. You can give something back. Any time you received something that made you grow spiritually, even though you may not see it at the time. I’ve had to say “thank you” a few times for things that I couldn’t feel any good from at all.

Even the negative things, the hard things, have growth in them because they are giving you a lesson in something. There’s ALWAYS good in it.

You have to see what’s going on in your life and see what you’ve created in order to change it into what you want to become.

If compensation is not made, if there’s no gratitude, the relationship will be separated. Joseph Murphy gave a good example – someone complains about work, about the boss, hours that are too long, etc. And doesn’t give anything good back. Maybe they even fudge a little bit on their hours or play games on the internet when they’re supposed to be working. There’s dishonesty there and the relationship will be separated.

You can use this law in conjunction with the Law of Change. Any time you realize that you’re making change, it’s a growth process.

You use this compensation to make sure that you are giving of yourself. Even just going up to a speaker after they talk and say “Thank you. That was wonderful.” Is one of the ways you can make that exchange. We sometimes forget to say thank you.

Don’t miss any opportunities to keep the flow going. You want to keep the cycle of giving and receiving going. Every time you receive something, you give out. You have to have that cycle of energy exchange.

rule 9Law of Multiplication (also known as the Law of Praise and Appreciation)

It makes everything you ask for be bigger and greater. It causes the Law ot work more quickly and in easier ways. It brings to your attention anything that causes you to limit your ability to receive. Once it’s brought to your attention, you use denials on it.

If you’re using the Law of Multiplication, of Praise and Appreciation, then it opens your awareness for being reminded of anything that might limit you that you haven’t gotten yet or haven’t gotten out of the garbage heap of your subconscious mind. It also gives divine surprises.

Divine surprises are the extra things you haven’t though of ye that are nice little gifts of the universe. It’s praise and appreciation. You praise everybody, everything and every situation.

Look at your past, at things that were disappointing and claim the blessing that came out of the problems. If you haven’t done that yet and you haven’t seen the blessing that came out, then start now on anything from our past that you’re still saying was a problem, that shouldn’t have happened, that you don’t know what made it happen. Start blessing it for what it brought to you and the good that came to you.

“I see this as a blessing. I claim this blessing for the good that was in it.”

Everything in your past, whether it was a problem created by you, created by someone else, or if someone helped you with it, there’s always good to come out of it. It’s what got you to the point where you are right now.

When do you use it? All the time. Every time you open your mouth, praise somebody or something in some way.

This also prevents you from ever being critical, angry or using hurtful words or actions. You can’t be angry or hurtful and praise at the same time. It’s a wonderful took for transformation. It works quickly because it stops negative speech and thought.

Using the Law of Multiplication (Praise and Appreciation)makes everything you ask for be bigger and greater since you are spending your time praising everyone and everything.

If you realize that 51% of the time you have to be praising something or somebody in order to make the good happen, if you have spent 51% of the time in criticism, condemnation, or talking of the past, which one are you going to get? The one you spent the most time in.

This is why you have to let go of the past. Let go of any of the experiences that caused you hurt or pain. Let go, say “I declare them good. The good comes forth out of it. Let it come.” Get it out of your way so the ideas, thoughts and feelings that come through are all filled with praise and appreciation.

This is the law you’ll be using most of the time.

rule 8The Law of Preparation

This law is doing your homework when you’re getting ready for something. This is the one that is most neglected when people get their ideas, thoughts and feelings and decide they want to do something. When you don’t work on this law, when you don’t concentrate on the law then you don’t do your homework when you start something. It involves making a decision about what you want, how you want it and the ideas and thoughts you want to bring into it.

Examples of not doing your homework are: “I just want to be happy”, “I want enough money”. These are not specific statements. You have to know what it is you’re looking for and be specific about it.

God speaks to you in hunches, feelings and thoughts. You get the feeling of something you’d like to do, an urge that you’d like to have it and then you begin to develop it into whatever it is you want.

If it’s time for a partner, you begin to develop an urge for some kind of togetherness or feeling. If you have an urge for a new house, you begin to look at houses as you drive along. If you went out to look for a new house today, what would you be looking for?

In the Law of Preparation, you have to get fixed in your mind what this ideas that is trying to come to you is. What is the idea you have attracted the possibilities and potential for?

Whatever idea has come to you is for you to bring from the invisible into the visible. That’s the big ksy. Howe do you bring it from the invisible into the visible?

This really is the most fun you can have. Set yourself up every day, once a week or however often you want to and say “I want to manifest something out of the blue”. Set your mind on something.

Start with something simple. “I want a phone call from somebody I haven’t heard from in a long time.” That’s a manifestation. That’s a demonstration of your ability to tap into the Divine Mind. All of our minds are really joined together. That person you’re thinking about will write, call or get in touch with you. Have you ever had an idea, not acted on it, and then find out someone else took the ball and ran with it.

You have to get specific with what you want: the color, location and even the parking spaces. If you were going for a new job, you would put “This is the kind of job I want. I want to be with people. I don’t want to be with people. I want/don’t want to work with figures. I want it in the city I live in or I would like to travel. I’d like certain benefits.”

Use this law before you go into anything. Get specific with what you want – you get specific with God so God can get specific with you.

I did this when I moved to San Antonio. I had first heard of an “outside access” when I first started looking at houses here. I was so excited about the concept that I repeatedly said (with emphasis and feeling) “I want outside access”! The house I ended up with has FIVE outside access doors. See how well it works.

Get specific with the number of bedrooms, the color of them, etc. See the house the way it’s going to be and not have to do a lot of work when you move in. That happened to me in Fredericksburg, Va. I ended up with a model home that already had the utilities already on, a very big yard (for my huskies), 2 floors and a basement and pretty much everything else I wanted. Plus, I could move in the very next day which was a major benefit since my household goods were already on the way.

When you make an affirmation, put in everything you want. Then don’t settle for anything less than what you’ve asked the Universe for. Remember the law of Supply and Demand – don’t think “oh well, this is close and I’ll probably never find all this stuff in one house anyway, so I’ll settle for this one.” That is a limiting belief. You came up with what you wanted and you just have to know that it’s out there for you!

The way you goof up this Law is to NOT be specific. Then you have to make decisions and choices that you don’t want to have to make. A good thing to say is “I want one thing given to me. One idea. I want the one that is best for me, the most productive, the most harmonious, most convenient, easiest to achieve with the benefits and the highest income.” That way you don’t have to make decisions. It will just be given to you.

You use the Law of Circulation and the Law of Preparation when you feel blocked. When you feel stuck, it unsticks you when you feel you’re doing things and nothing is happening, you’re stuck. These are the two laws that you use to get unstuck.
