Influential Laws That Govern Your Life – Part 16

rule 16Law of Obedience

This is listening to the still, small voice within; listening to hunches; listening to teachers and not listening to other people’s opinions.

Remember to look at facts first. When you are looking for something that you want to do, you are asking for something, you have to look at the facts. Someone will say “these are the facts. It’s going to take you X number of hours in school to learn to do this.” Or “You have to have a backer for this thing you want to do.” You agree with all these because they are statements based on facts.

However, facts are based on opinions. They may or may not be true. If you believe them to be true, then you are accepting the authority of somebody else who has opinions of limitation or lack. This is a big thing you have to learn. You don’t listen to anyone else. You know that you and God, you and the divine substance, can do anything. The only limitation is your belief about this thing.

If you believe there is no limitation, that this divine substance flowing in and through you gives you the ideas and the way and the means and the health and wholeness, then you don’t listen to anyone else.

The key is listening to that still, small voice inside that says “Yes, you can! Sure you can!” And not listening to all of the people who say you can’t.

If you’re getting instruction and you disagree with this inner or outer instruction, for example, if you were to go to a lawyer and ask “how should I be doing this?” and he gives you a whole lot of rules and regulations on what you have to do first and second, then you have to make a decision. “Do I want to listen to him? Or do I believe that I don’t have to do all of those things?” When you get that belief that you don’t have to do them, then those rules and regulations are not always there. Other things can come into play.

The good ole standby is “Show me the way!” Whenever you say that, something or someone will show up and give you a message/sign. Do not listen to yourself or to others that say “you can’t”. If you still think you can’t or don’t want to do something, then just put it on the shelf and let it go. Very soon, you’ll get insights on why, when, what and how. Don’t argue. Just say “when I’m supposed to know it, I’ll know it”.

 Law of Transgression

Everything that you have ever done against your fellow man must be wiped out, righted, paid in full or transformed. What you ahve done to others, you have done to yourself. This also comes under the law of justice. You do things that hurt others. Say “I apologize. I didn’t know what I was doing.”

It’s a good idea to watch your tone of voice too. Sometimes you can be harsh when you don’t intent to be. Most of the time, the intent that comes in is a lesson in growth.

You can put delays in by believing in delays. You can put interferences in by not clearing yourself from some of your past experiences. Then when you realize that this apology needs to be done – even if it’s a general one. You do whatever it takes to make things right! You do not have to go directly to the person because sometimes you can’t. You can also write them letters even if they have passed on. They will still get it.

Twice a week spend a few minutes and review “have I done anything this week that would delay my next step in my Divine Plan?” Learn to be alert. Learn how your actions affect another person. If another person reacts to you and your tone of voice, it’s time to bite your tongue and say “oops, I don’t want to get caught like that.”

 Law of Grace

This is the one we’re all reaching for. It’s living in the presence of total, complete, infinite love. It’s giving love; it’s receiving love. You have no negative thoughts, words or actions. You become master of demonstration and manifesting. Things become instantaneous. When there is only love, that’s when we demonstrate all the time.

The Law of Grace supersedes all others. You’ll be a ta place where you just say “I choose…..” And it will happen. There have been very few people who could do this.

You use this law by practicing non-judgment in all things. That’s how you get there. Once you get there, you don’t practice anything. You just know that you’re a loving person.

Be attentive to what you’re giving out. Make sure you’re giving only love, peace and harmony. Declare everything good, whether you believe it or not; whether it appears on the surface to be good or not. Declare it good so that it will become good very quickly.

Know that you are the authority. You are the agent. You are the comptroller and you have access to all that you choose to have.

When you start working with non-judgment you start by saying “gee, there’s another way. I’d like to see what it is.” If you can get away from judgment, not using the words “good” or “bad” but just recognizing that this is an energy and people make it one way or the other and begin to see people as this oneness that we keep talking about, then that oneness becomes everything good.

In reaching the point of non-judgment, you realize that all judgment is based on somebody’s opinions that may or may not be accurate. We’re told how to think. You’re told how to live. This includes everything from government to people to situations, everything. Hair color, skin color, the size of your nose – this is all judgmental and has nothing to do with the inner self.

When you reach the point of the Law of Grace, you will love, appreciate, be kind to others. You’ve given up gossip. You’ve given up problems. You have perfect health and wholeness and life in any and everything you do.

Keep all the laws in balance. AS you’re learning these laws, learning the positive words and giving up the negative ones, you’re giving up what’s wrong with the world and what’s wrong with people. You’re not making those kind of decisions – the ones that aren’t yours to make.

Stop the gossip, stop talking about people. Gossip is sometimes the good as well as the not-so-good. Sometimes you get into other people’s business. It’s not really yours to get into.

Bottom line – have praise and appreciation. Create good in everything you do. Prove that you can do the impossible. Prove that you’re a genius. Prove your ability to tap into the wisdom of the ages. Who do you prove it to? Yourself, the God of your being!

So endeth the discussion of these spiritual laws – go forth and practice them! (Sorry, I couldn’t resist)

Influential Laws That Govern Your Life – Part 15

rule 15Law of Action

This is what so many people neglect. After you set your goals, after you make your decisions, after your claiming, then you bring in the Law of Action.

You use it by deciding what steps to take. How you can make these decisions. How you can make affirmations and visualizations. How you can sometimes make a treasure map. You’re doing something!

Once you have done that homework, then you do whatever is put in front of you. It may be a telephone call. It may be writing a letter. It could be just making a connection with people.

You’ll find out that once you have put it in mind, you have placed it in Divine Mind – then you attract it to you under the Law of Attraction – you’ll attract the people, the situation, the ideas. They all come to you. It’s amazing how you can think of something and then a person helps you with it or gives you the ideas or teaches you how or gives you the inspiration. It just happens.

I knew I was going to come back to San Antonio even after 20 years away. For some reason whenever I talked to my friends about wanting to start a particular charity and people would ask me where it was going to be, I answered “somewhere in Texas”. Mind you, I was in Washington, DC at the time, still in the Navy and not knowing what was next or where it would be but that’s the answer that came out of my mouth. I had wanted to return to San Antonio since I was there 20 years prior.

 The Law of Use

This is simple. It’s like muscles. If you don’t use it, you lose it.

If you’re not using any of these laws, it’s like having to start all over when you go back to it. When you realize that something’s not happening in your life because you neglected some step, you go back and say “Ok, I forgot that one.” Or “I didn’t use it”.

If you have neglected to use one, it’s just like you have to start on that one all over again. You have to sit down and say “Remind me now of what it is that I am supposed to be doing with this. Which one did I goof up on or didn’t use?” In addition, if you’re not careful with the laws, you’ll get things you didn’t want.

You have to put wisdom into something. Before you even begin to ask for it you say “why do I want it?” For example, people say they want a Rolls Royce but don’t even think about where they are going to put it. You can’t put a Rolls out in the front street. If your garage is already full of garbage and things from last year and the year before, you don’t have a place to put it. Would you really want to leave your new (maybe even free) Rolls in the street?

You use wisdom. That’s omniscience.

You use the Law of Use when there’s a delay. Something is missing in your asking. There’s something you neglected to become aware of. There’s something you neglected to plan, or you neglected to eliminate something in your life beforehand. You know if something’s missing because it takes a long time to get it.

One of the biggest things you have to eliminate before you even start with the laws is all the excuses you give yourself for not having something. You do that to yourself.

If you start off with “why can’t I have something and what I have to overcome”, then it’s going to take a very long time to make all these things work in you.

Examine what it is you think you can accept. Are you limiting yourself? Use your gut as a guide. How does it feel when you say you are worth x amount of money? Or worth having great relationships, etc. This is where the Law of Mental Acceptance comes in. How much good can you accept?

Once you’re clear about what you want and have no doubts, no questions, you know that it’s just making your mind up and making a choice. Then you have no limitations. You have no delays. There are blocks in your world because people have told you there are blocks and you believed them. In true spirit, there are no blocks.

When you constantly listen to people who tell you want you can and cannot do, this happens repeatedly. It also comes from your childhood.

Influential Laws That Govern Your Life – Part 14

rule 14The Law of Justice

If you think there are things in your life that have been unjust, before you ever ask for justice to take place in your life, be absolutely ositive that you had no negative input into that situation.

Most things that you feel are unust are ones that you at least played a part in. You either created it or it’s a mirror image of something you are or aren’t doing. To ask for justice means it’s going to get you too.

Before you ask for justice, make sure that you have done whatever it takes in order to give you the freedom. Make sure you’ve given an apology. You don’t always have to apologize to somebody else. Apologize to yourself for having created the situation. Most of the time that works.

Recognition is 95% of the solution for anything you have ever done wrong, any hurts or harm. It’s acknowledging it within yourself. It’s the “oops” when you hurt someone without even knowing any better.

The Law of Justice is when you have not used your thoughts, words or actions to benefit yourself or others. You realize there is negative that will return to us if you call on the Law of Justice. You have to be sure that you had no negative input (which would be rare if you think about it).

You can use an overall apology “I regret anything and everything I have ever done to hurt myself or others”. This also helps prevent you from doing it again.

You use the Law of Justice to make amends – which is one of the 12 steps. You can apologize to them or to yourself because whatever you do to others, you do to yourself. We know that because we’re all one. When we hurt others, we also hurt ourselves. Be determined to have a greater awareness of how you affect others.

Very few people take deliberate action to harm others. When you hurt other people’s feelings, it’s a self-protection type of thing. You get them before they get you.

There are better ways to handle it, which will be brought to your attention once you begin to recognize these things.

The Law of Justice is good to use before the Law of Preparation. That’s when you are getting ready to do something, you start writing your list out and planning what you want to do and how you want to do it. Do your “homework” before you get started.

This is especially important if you’re starting something new. You say “I want to eliminate anything that could delay the thing I’m about to do.” That’s where a lot of times your demonstrations are delayed. It’s because you don’t clear out all the garbage before you start planning what you’re going to do next.

 Law of Approbation

This means you have to confirm, and you’re the only one that can confirm that these laws work. It’s proving the laws to yourself. Proving that you can do it. That goes back to Power and Dominion. You have to prove the law to yourself. There’s nobody else you can prove it to. You’re not going to believe it until you start making these things happen. You have to make things happen in your way, using the techniques that you learn.

The faith that you put into these laws is really important. Emmet Fox said “You make a choice of something you want to change and stay with it until it’s complete.”

When you’re working on these things make sure to add the word “permanent” in your statements – “I want permanent good relationships.” “I want permanent lavish supply”. Otherwise it will be an up and down situation.

As you begin working on something and concentrate on that area, eventually you will get to the law because you have used it you have made it work. Saying something a few times, whether it’s relationships or money or time or talent, is going to work for you very quickly and easily. You use it be proving to yourself that you can make something happen.

That is when the spiritual essence of you takes over and you become one with the qualifying thing that you’re trying to make happen. Then you keep it quiet. Give it a little bit of loving to keep it harmonized. Then you can use it as a story to help others believe.

You use this also with the Law of Mental Acceptance. You ahve to confirm for yourself that this law works.

Several of the laws are used together. This is why it’s so important to learn them and learn which ones relate to each other. It’s like they’re in steps. You can take one step and feed back to another. If you combine two of them, they work much more quickly than just doing one at a time and trying to prove it to yourself.

The preparation and realization of Mental Acceptance in conjunction with confirmation of the Law of Approbation means that you have proven both of the laws to yourself. You have mentally accepted it. You put it through the power that you know you’re in at the time because you are in this action of yourself.

You’re using this to make choices. You’re using the power of the will that God gave you for the things you want in you life.

God is not an errand boy! God is spirit’s substance. We are the hands. People are the hands, the voice, the feet, the ideas of God put into practice. When you are working in a partnership, you know that all of these laws are yours to use for whatever purpose you want to use them. You have already gained integrity, honesty and all these things!

Tuesdays Wtih Terrie

tuesdays-with-terrie-croppedThis is a new series and will not necessarily be every week but when I have something that reflects what I teach here I have to share it.

You may remember that 1 1/2 years ago when I was worried and scared about doing my second 100 miler in just 6 weeks, I created and then got rid of low back pain. That showed me my power at that time…however, I obviously forgot that lesson.

I am scheduled to do a 100 mile event in Las Vegas over Valentine’s Day weekend. But since I’ve been trying this “Whole30” (http://www.Whole30.com ) program and my body has been switching to a “Fat burning” mode (no, not for weight loss but to get rid of my addiction to sugar), I have felt like my body had no endurance. Since the 30 days won’t be over until the day before the race, I’ve been questioning whether or not to do it (the race, not the program although I should have planned that one better too). So, the worry and concern (translate that into equaling FEAR) were there in my subconscious mind, marinading like a luscious meal.

This is actually very ironic/funny – Sunday I finally decided that I would implement this strategy for imroving your back health. I had a Varidesk that I bought over 8 months ago but never figured out how to really make it work. But Sunday I was determined!

I am pretty strong and it didn’t seem that heavy. But when I tried to move it from its storage place to my desk, I had to slide it on the tile. Not so bad. But then I had to lift it up onto the desk. I’m so short that when I got it to the desk level, it wasn’t going any further. I tried again. This time as I gave it my all, I felt my vertebrae move in my back. Down went the object and I just stood there wondering if I had done significant damage. When the dizziness passed, I realized I was not paralyzed but that I had hurt my back. As the day went on, the pain continued and increased. Etc…typical back pain scenario. Nothing special here.

What’s the lesson here? Even injuries can be brought on via the Law of Attraction. People tend to think that because it’s an injury, caused by an external event (“how can that be something I created?”) there’s no way you can attract it.

Let me ask you this – why did I decide on this particular Sunday, just two weeks from my event, to change my setup. Why not a month from now, why not a month ago?

My answer – because I wasn’t so focused on this race a month ago like I have been for the past 1 1/2 weeks since I felt my training had gone to pot.

I have to turn this around because there are upcoming events that are really important to me. Last year my fear (and stupidity in not following all the training rules I had ever learned) led to the back problem that interfered with my trek across Tennessee.

How am I going to turn it around? By using a variety of means. EFT, journaling and visualization as the primary means.

You might ask if I shouldn’t wait until my back is “healed” before I start all of that? The answer is a resounding “no”! The key is to identify what you have attracted into your life as quickly as possible and then take action to correct that. I almost immediately realized what I had done and so was able to start working on it Sunday. I am constantly amazed at the power of EFT to assist with, not only pain, but also the issues behind that pain. So, that is going to be my primary focus. What is it that’s going on deep inside that I keep repeating this pattern?

Stay tuned for those answers though.

Just remember that we attract EVERYTHING in our lives even if it seems ludicrous. Go deep – that’s my new motto – go deep within and you’ll eventually find the answers. Sometimes we have to be beat over the head to figure out the why and how but it’s there. I guarantee you.

Til next time….I hope this has helped you realize that all of us are subject to the same laws, even those of us who have studied and “worked” the laws for years.

Influential Laws That Govern Your Life – Part 13

rule 13Law of Realization

This is one of the laws we use the least but should use the most. There is more than knowledge. It’s a complete realization. It’s the flooding of consciousness, understanding that whatever you’re thinking about or whatever law is involved, it’s more than knowledge. You have to be doing it. You have to understand the principles that are in use. You have to use the principles totally and completely.

In order to understand something you’re talking about or something that’s new to you, sit down and identify your oneness with God. Identify that you’re one with this divine energy. Then say something like “reveal to me so that I can clearly understand the Law of Power (or the Law of Dominion or whichever one you want to learn about at that time).” There’s an asking and receiving in meditation.

When you go into meditation, you should always have a purpose. Your purpose is to understand whatever it is that’s not clear in your mind.

Sit down and say “reveal to me the truth about Power. Reveal to me the understanding of Power. Reveal to me what it is I need to know and feel”, because Realization is both feeling and knowing. It is complete within itself so you can say “Okay, I know what this is. I can feel it. Now I have to learn to put it into words.” This is just an example. You would substitute whatever it is you are asking to understand – or seeking clarification/realization about.

Knowledge is not realization. Understanding is not always realization. Realization is when you can get into words that have been spoken and put them into feeling. Without feeling, you don’t demonstrate. You don’t demonstrate out of knowledge. You have to get into the feeling, which is why you use a lot of visualization.

Consider this – go back over the laws and take one day – say “Reveal to me the Law of Consciousness (for example). Reveal to me what it means to me. Reveal to me how I can realize the wholeness of this spiritual law”. That’s the asking.

Then turn around and begin to receive. After you practice this a few times, it comes almost within minutes. You can do shorter meditations and more of them. If you sit for five or 10 minutes and nothing comes through, get up and continue your activities. Frequently when you stop wanting to hear or realize something, you can get up and go do something else. All of a sudden, the answers pop into your mind – “Oh, that’s what that means!”

Meditation should NOT be simply about blanking your mind. The first step is the identification with the spirit. Have a purpose. What is it that you want to realize in that moment of meditation? A moment could be two or three minutes or two or three hours, whatever it takes. I recommend you do 10-15 minutes at a time, then get up.

Use this at least once a day. Some insight, some idea, will always come to you at the least expected time. If you jot it down and then take five to 10 minutes to meditate and just say “show me”. Between then and the next time you sit down to meditate, you’ll get answers. A good time to do the meditations is just before you go to sleep. Say something like “Reveal to me how I can give my service in the most productive way.” You always want to ask for the most productive way, not the best or happiest. What you want when you’re asking for insights is the most productive way that you can learn it, then give it back out when you start teaching it to someone else. That’s the Law of Realization.
