"Clutter's Last Stand" Pre-Teleseminar Homework

Hi folks,

Anne wanted me to let you know there were a few things to think about before tomorrow night’s teleseminar. These will be in the handout but I wanted to post them here as well:

Clutter:

We usually think of clutter as the miscellaneous “stuff” that causes our homes, our desk, garage or work place to have the look of a recent tornado. This is only partially true.  Included also is the beginnings of clutter is within our minds.
When we have ideas, inspiration, things to do, people to write, grocery lists, errands to run, cards to send, children to take places, doctor’s appointments, our minds begin to clutter.  Most of us recognize that it is a “must” to make notes and keep a calendar.  Otherwise, we may end up at the wrong place or forget appointments.
This mental clutter then effects the physical world.   We lose keys, can’t find the bills we were supposed to pay yesterday, paperwork stacks up, newspapers and magazines are unread, car maintenance is neglected, the garage becomes so stuffed with miscellaneous things we can’t get the car in and our lives become chaotic.

In preparation for the course:

Establish goals:
garage sale, donation for income tax purpose, thrift shop, charitable donation, women’s safe houses, single parents, halfway houses, children’s homes, etc.,

Things you need to do to get started:
Containers to hold 8 1/2 sheets of paper and file folder size  (things to be filed)
A container for income tax information.
File folders
A small note pad
Temporary medium containers for each room
Laundry basket

See you Thursday night.

“Clutter’s Last Stand”

Good Monday morning everyone,

I want to use this format to talk about this week’s Teleseminar “Clutter’s Last Stand”. It will be this Thursday, 23 March 2006 at 5 p.m. Pacific, 7 p.m. Central, and 8 p.m. Eastern. You can register any time you want before hand.

If you have a problem with clutter in your life, this is the teleseminar for you. If the area surrounding you is cluttered, your mind and spirit will also be cluttered. New thoughts, ideas, relationships, business opportunities, money and just about anything else will NOT be able to come into your life. That’s not something we want to experience, is it?

When I was in Virginia and found out that I had been given this job here in San Antonio (I had wanted to come back here for the past 20 years but had no idea how I was going to accomplish that), obviously I had to move. But to make matters “worse”, I bought a 1 story house here in San Antonio. I had a 3 level house in Virginia (two stories and a basement). I think you can begin to see why I feel I can speak here as a “clutter expert”.

My life had been cluttered at that time. I was fortunate that the Universe still decided I was needed in San Antonio. It’s amazing that that happened when you look at the clutter surrounding me.

I had two garage sales and made over $3000.00 in them (all of which went to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital) and then I had furniture and office supplies and anything else you can imagine that was either thrown out or donated to people who needed it. I even had to rent a very large dumpster to put in my yard so that all the items could be discarded.

When I moved, my mind felt free and I ended up having so many ideas and opportunities come into my life. I was able to learn how to be a webmaster so that I could help Anne out when she needed someone to take over the website. I learned how to start a business, I was “thrown into the midst” of a person teaching how to do teleseminars. I was at the right place at the right time. Now, admittedly this has happened to me several times in the past but for the past few years I had felt stagnant. I wonder why.

Believe me, it works! Join Anne on Thursday to learn how to clear the clutter from your spirit!

See you then.
