Inspiration…

On Inspiration….

How would you like to have a bunch of new inspirations every day?  Do you remember to ask?  We say things like “If I could just get a good inspiration for developing a multimillion dollar idea, I’d be fixed for life.”
That is not asking.  When we put “if” into an  affirmation we can be sure that if we do have some inspiration, it won’t be worth a multimillion dollars.

Do it this way.    “Every day I receive valuable inspiration and ideas that are easy and comfortable for me to do.”   You just could wake up the next day with another “pet rock” idea.  One that is simple to do, is filled with feelings of success, and  you already know someone who would be interested in manufacturing this idea and who knows someone who owns a factory that would be willing to produce them for a percentage of the profit, (after all, he is doing all the work, you just had the idea). So you just sit and accept checks in large sums.  Since your idea made you all wealthy, your job is to produce more ideas.

Ah Ha!! You’re an idea person.  And you can get those all day.  So get with it.  Show me your new inspiration.

The Joy of Keeping In Touch

For the past few months I have taken every opportunity to locate people I haven’t heard from for some time.  If one of them is you, please keep in touch.

For long time friends,  what are you doing now?  Are you still working in metaphysics?  Are you having fun in life?  Are you remembering all of the techniques to create the joys of life?  If not, do we need a reminder class of all the different ways to utilize our abilities?

For new friends, please introduce yourselves.  It is exciting to know the many people from all over the world that are in  the Getting Unstuck family.  And be sure and tell either Terrie or me the good things that are occurring for you.

Sometimes I even return to the classes that I gave to remind myself of anything I may not be taking advantage of to create love, joy, peace, wealth, etc.

I’ve been using a lot of ideas to have a “permanent” wonder about life.  We sometimes neglect to look around us and enjoy where we are and the wonderful people in our lives.

Always remember……..  You are a blessing to all people

Tennis Anyone?

I’ve been watching the Australian Open in the last few days and have been amzed by the difference in the character of the players. some of them have seemed to give up when the odds appeared stacked against them (down a few games or even a set) and others have continued to plug along no matter what the score.

How do you act when the odds are not going your way?

Take a few minutes to evaluate that.  Write down your reactions and your actions. When things aren’t perfect for you, what goes on inside your mind? You know it’s all about what is really in your mind.

Some of these tennis games have turned around so quickly. Just a few points against them and some crack. Others take it as a learning point and “up their game”.

Last night the women were playing and were distracted because of an illness or injury in the stands and later by a 21 gun salute. It appeared to distract the woman who was leading. She rebounded however when the distractions were over. Later another woman was not playing her best tennis but persisted and kept plugging along.

Just now I’m watching Nadal play very poorly because he’s injured but he’s not willing to give up. He’s down 2 sets and 4 games in the 3rd set and just won’t stop competing. He’s battling even though he knows he can’t win (according to the announcers). That is the sign of a champion.

The last few days I’ve had continued involvement with the development of our computer system at work. This is hard stuff, trying to think ahead while still sticking to the detailed analysis that must go on. I have been frustrated for quite some time with this and have wanted to give up. But I have not because I know the importance of the program. However, I will be taking this competitive spirit lesson from tennis and change my attitude while participating.

What lessons can you learn from these games? Which kind of player are you? What are you going to do about it?

Who Surrounds You?

I had a great day yesterday and I realized that it all had to do with the people I was around. There was nothing unusual about the day but I was surrounded by several different groups of people – first were professionals at a doctor’s office (routine checkup) and my appointment was early in the a.m. – they were short handed because people were sick and out of work. But they remained friendly, happy and professional. That attitude is contagious for sure. Then I went to a store to look for a new bed and the gentleman there was friendly, professional and helpful. He understood when I said I would be back after lunch. Then I had lunch with a very good friend.  We ate and talked for 2 hours and had a wonderful time. After lunch I went back and purchased one of the beds that Frank (the salesman) had shown me.

I left the bed store feeling almost “high” – and I realized it was because of the fun I had had with people all day long. Their positive nature had been infused into my being. That’s what we’re talking about when we tell you about vibrations and how we’re affected by the vibrations around us.

Since we’re still in the beginning of the year (although you should do this at any time during the year) it would be really helpful to you to take a look at those around you and how they influence you.

Are they always happy? Are they sometimes happy?

Do they think that life is going well? Do they complain all the time?

Do they support and encourage you or do they tell you “don’t bother with that – it won’t work” or “you’ll never succeed”?

Listen to the language that surrounds your being. The thoughts and words inside your mind are vital in determining where you are in life and where you go. BUT just as importantly are the thoughts and words of those close to you. It doesn’t even have to be close in an intimate way but time wise – meaning your work relationships since you spend so much time there.

It may be time to do your “spring cleaning” regarding your relationships too. Simply ask that you be surrounded by those who have positive contributions to your growth. Ask that those who are not contributing in a positive manner be eliminated from your life.  Realize that you’ll be nervous about this initially because it’s “hard” to lose “old friends” but it’s important that you only be surrounded by those that will be positive factors in your life.

Have a terrific week!

Terrie
