Show Me The Way

show me the way1Sometimes we forget that there is a greater power than ourselves. It seems strange that we would forget that but it happens more often than you realize.

As a result we often find ourselves mired in a mess – like quicksand – and not knowing how to get out. Or, perhaps we might be simply stuck and out of energy or motivation or ideas. We don’t know what to do or where to turn. So we just flounder around.

Next time you’re feeling like that you can simply call up these 4 words and ask the Universe for Divine Guidance – “Show me the way” – this tells the Universe that you’re open to whatever guidance you may be given.

Do NOT second guess it though. Try to remain completely separate and just “allow” the answers to come to you. They will…but you can’t be wondering if it’s really from the Universe or is it something else you’ve conjured up. I guarantee you that even if it feels as if it’s coming from inside of you, it’s been put there by the Universe. We usually don’t recognize any signs we are given so that is the method the Universe uses – they ideas come from within.

Don’t feel scared and don’t think “well, maybe this isn’t for me after all”. That will just defeat the whole purpose of everything.

Go with the ideas. Know that they have come from Divine Mind into your mind! They are yours for the using so take the idea and run. The Universe LOVES  action, especially when it’s provided you with the idea.

I make a habit of using this phrase every day (and often many times a day) to constantly have the Universe feeding me ideas. I don’t wait until I’m in trouble or floundering around. Call it preventive medicine of sorts.

Go for it!

Let me know if you get any Divine Inspirations from using this phrase.

Create Your 2015 Story NOW!

get ready for 2015Now is the time to start getting ready for 2015. You want to enter 2015 with your life and attainment of your desires mapped out in detail and visualized. Even though December is usually a very busy month, why not consider changing your focus from holiday gifting and partying to creating your life and setting yourself up for success in 2015?

This not just about setting goals. Most of us have January come upon us quickly and we hastily throw together some things we think we might want to work toward in the coming year. But unless we prepare properly  we may not be choosing the right kind of goals or might not be getting specific enough, or maybe not even deep enough.

So what’s the best way to go about this? I like to review everything that’s happened to and “in” me during the last year. I cherish my calendar for this. I have gotten into the habit of writing an amazing amount of information in my calendar. It serves as a journal of sorts. I have tried a separate journal but that doesn’t work. Since I have this great calendar program that has room for everything (notes, comments, addresses, journal of its own) that seems to be the best place for me to keep everything in one place.

I go back to the previous January in my calendar and I look at all at the events that I’ve had (even if I didn’t journal in the calendar, just noting the events would be sufficient for this purpose). I am always amazed at all that’s happened. As I’m looking at each thing, I ask myself where I was spiritually and emotionally at that time and then compare it to where I am right now. What has changed? What did I learn and how did it effect me? What changes have happened since then? How is my attitude different if it is? What would I have liked to have happened differently? Is this something I want to recreate but in a more successful manner? Or is it something that I’ve done and am done with?

It’s almost as if I write the story of the past year as I’m doing this. It really is revealing as long as you ask yourself the right questions and take the time to answer honestly – that is probably the really key thing – to answer deeply and honestly.  Take your time with this. It’s very important – it will generate feelings and emotions as you go through the whole year. You’ll use those emotions as a gauge for where you want to go next.

Once you’ve done this, you can “feel” how you want your life to go on. You can determine what you want to happen in the coming year. Once you let your emotions guide you in that direction, you should then take the time to actually script out the results you’re seeking for the year. Write out your attitude changes, your life changes, your nutrition changes (I keep talking about that lately but it’s essential to have the right nutrition to feed your soul as well as your body), your exercise and work changes. What events would you like to have happen and what outcomes would you like. For example, would you like to change jobs or maybe retire? If so, get specific so you create the job or retirement situation you truly want ( you do NOT want a new job where you have to work even harder than you may be doing now; when you retire you want to be comfortable and have at least all the amenities you have now). Think through everything carefully.

Write these things down. Feel them. Get the momentum going. Keep this “story” by your side at all times and keep reading it. But remember that you can rewrite it as you go along. You can add more details to it; you can change details; you can change goals and outcomes or even delete a particular event if you decide that you really don’t want it; you can add things to it depending on what happens.

But the point to writing it out is to embed it in your mind and get the “engine” (Law of Attraction) going. You will be amazed how once you’ve take the time to get specific, list the details and actually script your story, it will come to pass!

Try it. Do a little bit each day or take a day on the weekend. Just do it though! That’s the important thing.

Let me know how things are going.

Momentum Monday

momentum-monday1“Within the seed of your desire is everything necessary for it to blossom to fulfillment. And Law of Attraction is the engine that does the work. Your work is just to give it a fertile growing place in order to expand.

—Abraham

Excerpted from the workshop: Albuquerque, NM on May 09, 1999”

You’ve heard me talk about clearing the land before you can start to rebuild. You have to have that land cleared so that you can start with a new foundation and then move on to the rest of your building (home). The land represents your previous limiting beliefs – think of them as the rocks and tree roots that are creating lumps and bumps where you want to start building. If you don’t do something with them, you’ll end up with an uneven terrain and an unstable foundation. So, you have to examine your land (your beliefs) and figure out a  way to remove those that are sticking up or which might undermine the foundation. For example even if you remove what’s above ground, you still have to remove the roots below the surface or more “knobs” will grow above and possibly crack your foundation. There are many ways to clear limiting beliefs. I use both EFT (tapping) and denials to both identify and then clear my limiting beliefs. There are many other ways out there to do the clearing. You have to find something to get to the essence of what you are and then decide what beliefs you still choose to entertain and which you find no longer serve you.

Once you’ve done this and then decided what it is you want (your seed of desire), the Law of Attraction will power you right to where you want to go! Just focus on what you want in a way that is NOT focusing on lack. For instance, if you focus on wanting $10,000 to pay off your bills, you are really focusing on the lack of money you have (the fact that you have debt and owe money). You then set yourself up to be more in debt. Focus on that $10,000 for the good it will do for you and for others when you are paying those bills – you’re paying their salaries and that’s a good thing. Focus on being prosperous and having $10,000 and being free to do whatever you want with it. Feel that rich and prosperous warmth and glow within you. Really feel it. That will set up your vibration and make it ready to take off! Start your Engines – the Law of Attraction in action!

Running Is Not About Racing, Speed or Perfection

running is You all know how much I love running. And you know I enter several races a year. You might wonder why just running around my area isn’t enough for me – why do I have to enter a race when I know I’m never going to win. That’s a very valid question. To me, running is about life and living. I thrive on it. I found out recently how much it does matter to me because I went through a period where I didn’t really care if I ran or not. I had some reason (aka excuse) every morning not to go out there. And I have never been an afternoon runner so that was out too. I’d lost my motivation – completely. I don’t know what happened but I was having other problems at the time too and I think I was afraid to run.

But I had signed up for the 72 hour event I did last weekend and wanted to go even though I was pitifully trained (or not trained at all actually since I came back from Tennessee in July and had to recover from my back injury) and then I was experiencing a great deal of life and work stress so all components were out of whack. But I started to pay attention to my nutrition (more about that on another blog/page – but it’s essential that we pay attention to our nutrition) and as a result I started to feel some better. Amazingly during and after last weekend, I felt better than I have in about 3 months. I don’t know why but what I do know is that I realized how much running was life for me and how much the family and love that I have experienced in my ultra running is what it’s all about. I won’t win any races ever but I win every time I go to one because I meet new people (even shy little me meets others) and I rekindle relationships with those I’ve met before. And I am always welcomed with open arms and I feel so much a part of one big family when I’m there. That provides more nutrition for the soul and spirit than you can imagine.

What do you have in your life that can provide you this much sustenance? I hope you have some activity that provides you the same degree of love, family and joy that running and ‘racing’ does for me.

I have to tell this one amazing story. It was the middle of the night on night two and it was raining but along came this young man passing me but he knew who I was and told me he had read my post on “life is like an ultramarathon” and he enjoyed it. That meant so much to me. It kind of made the whole weekend in one way. But what really made the weekend was seeing the folks I met last year and having them take care of me the whole time. It’s brought me back to real life and happiness.

Find something that represents love and life for you and do it, no matter what!

Two Words I Never Want To Hear Again – A Saturday Rant!

black friday erasedThursday I talked about two words you should use over and over again every day. I think the Universe only heard the “two words” and “hear over and over again” and missed which two words those were. If that’s the case, the Law of Attraction worked very well, much to my dismay.

Maybe it’s the people whose lists I subscribe to but almost every email I received Friday had “Black Friday” in the subject line. That automatically meant that something was being sold. It took only about an hour of this inundation to drive me to leave my computer. But then when I returned, the number of emails had multiplied. Sigh…..

What was disappointing was that these are people who have excellent content on their sites and it’s obvious that they are just following what they feel to be good marketing strategies by having a sale on the day after Thanksgiving. LIke no one ever buys anything any other day or they couldn’t have a sale on another day. That is insulting to me – they could have a midweek sale next week or the week after and still make as much money (If not more since they won’t be competing with other folks at that time).  It also makes me unsubscribe to their lists.

In the past when I heard the words “Black Friday”, it always bothered me, especially when it was associated with Thanksgiving. I felt it was something evil and how could the day after Thanksgiving be evil? It’s always seemed so sinister to me. I never understood how there could be such violence as there is when people are in line and fighting for a product or even just to get in the store. The “almighty dollar” reigns supreme and I don’t like that. I believe in abundance and prosperity but this goes beyond in my opinion. Now, since I also subscribe to the fact that what we see is a mirror of the mind, I have to take some quiet time and examine what’s going on inside of me and what this avalanche of “Black Friday” sales/emails really is telling me.

Do you have something that really sticks in your craw (as they say)? If so, try to go within and remember that we do create EVERYTHING in our lives and have to be responsible for it. The key is to recognize this and then do something constructive about it.

I don’t know much more about what it all means for me right now, but I do know that I don’t want to hear those words again.

Today is small business Saturday and to me, that’s a much more important day to tout since it supports people who are trying to make it in this world of big business and monopolies.  Support your local stores please. They need and deserve it for they make your community alive and well.

Enough of a rant – at least I know I have to look inside.
