Questions From Our Subscribers

Here’s some more questions from folks like you:

Member: “How can I quickly describe what metaphysics is when I’m talking to other folks?”

Dr. Kunath: “When people ask about metaphysics they are usually completely unfamiliar with New Thought or with any of the things we study and usually assume that everyone else is familiar with them. It is best not to confuse them with too much information., I say first “It is a branch of Philosophy that deals with the study of the non-physical as in the study of thought and its effects on each one of us.” That is usually enough for most people. If they are interested enough or understanding enough to want more information then I explain more. Keeping it simple and saying “we believe that our thoughts and feelings are creative and we create what we think about and what we believe. Therefore, we learn to think about what we want to have in our lives. We stop worrying and we stop complaining. As we begin to think about happy events our lives change for the better. If they want more than that, recommend a good book such as one by Emmet Fox, Joseph Murphy or another of your favorites.”

Member: “Having listened to Anne teach for several years now and having studied metaphysics for almost 30 years, I find that there seems to be a scooting away from the fundamentals of metaphysics. I know “The Secret” is the rage but, frankly, it’s like the new psych-o-babble and sales pitch. Since “The Secret” was released, there are even web-sites from people in the movie that tell you they have the missing link for you that was left out of “The Secret.” No wonder people are confused and think of New Thought as just old snake oil.”

Dr. Kunath: “The movie and book “The Secret” explaining the Law of Attraction as is being taught today leaves much to be desired. It does not take into consideration the beliefs that have been planted in us in the past. There are other laws such as the Law of Multiplication, the Law of Consciousness, The Law of Grace and others. (I’ll do those in another question) These laws interact and if your beliefs are contradictory, the good doesn’t come until you remove the contradiction. That is why we start new classes with denials. For example, if you were told as a child that you inherited your mother’s inability to solve math problems, you probably will struggle in your math and algebra classes.

The denials for that would be “I don’t choose to believe that math is difficult for me”. You may add an affirmation “I inherited Uncle Joe’s genius and I can do all math quickly, easily and accurately.” Your conscious mind has the ability to dissolve and/or correct our subconscious beliefs. It would be beneficial for you to listen to the Spiritual Law series we have on the membership site.”

In order for you to see what a great mind Dr. Kunath has, I thought you’d like to read some responses from Dr. Kunath. Here’s a question we received from a member followed by Dr. Kunath’s answer:

Q. I’ve gotten several things I wished I hadn’t asked for. How do I eliminate them now.

A. A good example of “be careful what you ask for, because you’re going to get it”. I’ve done that a few times myself before I learned to examine how I would be and feel if I got what I thought I wanted. One time I asked for greater income and got a lot more work. That was not what I intended. I was teaching a Treasure Mapping Class and had the students bring in their maps for me to check before they began to concentrate on them. One map had a man in the middle, on a ship and holding a drink in his hand. I knew her first husband had been an alcoholic and told her she needed another picture and reminded her she had stated she didn’t want another alcoholic. Instead of getting another picture she cut his hand off that held the drink. When she brought that one in I pointed out the one armed man. She did find a beautiful picture with a healthy man in it. She put words of health, sober but fun loving, prosperous, generous, etc. and shortly afterward got married.

Step 1 is to really evaluate and be sure you are asking correctly.

Step 2 is to include positive words and phrases like “loves my family” or “his family loves me” that will eliminate negative in-law situations.

Step 3 is more words of long, happy marriage, loves to travel, sincere, enjoys my friends, I enjoy his friends. Integrity, generosity, sleeps quietly (without snoring). Remember, everything you want him to be, you have to match for yourself. (If you want a neatnik, and you’re a slob it would not work very well.)

If you still got something you don’t want, there is a way out. Simply affirm that you are finished with that part of your life and you both move in to the next step of your divine plans with ease and comfort. You must put a “completion” into something to assure you both can let go with peace. That does worrk well. Good luck.

You Have Power Over Your Life

You know that this week has been the launch week for “The Art of Making Things Happen”, a home study course providing you the tools with which to mold your life the way you truly want it ONCE you determine what that way is (you’re given the tools for that too).

If you’ve tried over and over again and think you’ve been doing it all right, but feel you haven’t succeeded, then it’s most likely because of your words – whether these words are in thought form or spoken words.

Let us show you the way. Pick up your copy of “The Art of Making Things Happen” today (and claim your free audio too).

To show you how much power we have over our own lives, read this excerpt from Florence Scovel Shinn’s “The Game of Life”“

“Thou shalt decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee.”

All the good that is to be made manifest in man’s life is already an accomplished fact in divine mind, and is released through man’s recognition, or spoken word, so he must be careful to decree that only the Divine Idea be made manifest, for often, he decrees, through his “idle words,” failure or misfortune.

It is, therefore, of the utmost importance, to word one’s demands correctly, as stated in a previous chapter.

If one desires a home, friend, position or any other good thing, make the demand for the “divine selection.”

For example: “Infinite Spirit, open the way for my right home, my right friend, my right position. I give thanks it now manifests under grace in a perfect way.”

The latter part of the statement is most important. For example: I knew a woman who demanded a thousand dollars. Her daughter was injured and they received a thousand dollars indemnity, so it did not come in a “perfect way.”

The demand should have been worded in this way: “Infinite Spirit, I give thanks that the one thousand dollars, which is mine by divine right, is now released, and reaches me under grace in a perfect way.”

Man so often limits himself in his demands. For example: A student made the demand for six hundred dollars, by a certain date. He did receive it, but heard afterwards, that he came very near receiving a thousand dollars, but he was given just six hundred, as the result of his spoken word.

I can give you a personal example of this. In 1986 I was fortunate enough to be asked by Dr. Kunath to coordinate/organize an INTA conference to be held here in San Antonio.

In one of my reports to the board members I put that we would have 400 attendees.

The conference was a great success and everyone was satisfied with the results.

At a post conference board meeting I read the results to the board “There were 400 attendees” – right on the nose.

Imagine what it would have been like had I not limited my own success.

Don’t let that happen to you!

Try This For A Week or Two

Here’s a common question we get: “How can i use metaphysics in my business to increase my success?” You can find more answers to this question and more in “The Art of Making Things Happen”!
Such a good question! We use so much time trying to “fix” ourselves (and others) we sometimes neglect to put our discipline into the easy ways to demonstrate our good.
It’s about practicing to recognize the help you are receiving.
1. Make your affirmations simple but definite. One of the first affirmations I ever used and the one that gave me the greatest results was “Keep me surrounded with happy, loving people who love me as I am.” At that time I had several people who frequently told me what I “ought” to be doing. They disappeared almost overnight. What a relief. Immediately new friends came in who enjoyed the same kind of thing that I did. I was suddenly invited to picnics, movies, book studies. I was invited to join a “book swap” group. Every two weeks we took the books we had finished (with ratings on the inside cover) to swap. Such wonderful friends came out of that.
2. Make agreements with your friends to keep your time together happy. No complaints, nobody has to change, we’re not here to judge. Spend your time with them talking about happy events or excuse yourself and go home. Remember, in metaphysics, when we complain, it is really ourselves we are complaining about. (Metaphysical rule # 1 What I see in you is the reflection of myself)
3. At least one day a week use the affirmation “Every thought I think, every word I say and every action I take is beneficial to my quick and easy success.
4. Make a list of surprises that would help you know that affirmations work. Use fun events. Examples: 1. A letter or phone call, from someone you liked very much but have lost touch with them but let the universe select who it will be. (That is called a divine surprise) 2. An invitation to something you’d wanted to go to but didn’t want to go alone. 3. A sincere compliment from someone you don’t know. 4. Selecting a phrase of praise that an adult had said to you when you were a child that made you feel really good. (You have many things but ask for something to trigger this in your memory.)
5. Use your journal every day to write down good things that occurred for you and for others. What you praise increases in pleasure for you.
6. Turn your wishes into goals by writing them down. Read them for a week, then move the least desired ones to a long range goal list. Spend your most valuable time on the choices that are most important to you. And call them “My blessings that are already on the way to me.”
The more you feel your mind bringing you happy events, the easier it is to receive them. This is called “practicing the presence” so you can begin to identify the “little things are not really so little”
This is just a taste of what you get in “The Art of Making Things Happen”. Rush over there and pick it up now.
If you’re one of the first 50 people to claim your copy, you’ll have a reserved
spot on a special question and answer teleseminar we put on. If you’re one of those 50 people you’ll be able to submit your questions ahead of time or on the actual teleseminar. This is a rare opportunity. And don’t fret…if you can’t make the live call, the replay will be available for you.

What Are You Giving Life To?

What Are You Giving Life To?

Do you really understand that you are where you are because you created the life you have? I know that’s hard for many people to accept but you have the power, you have the control and you have the ability to create things.

Since you have this power, why not harness the power in a positive way and produce what you want. “The Art of Making Things Happen” is your study guide, your handbook for creating everything you want.

Scientists tell us that everything, visible and invisible, is energy. This energy permeates the Universe. We can clearly see this in our physical world where everything has a molecular structure of basic elements.

The closer we come to understanding the Universe, the better we understand its oneness. The energy that permeates the Universe is called “Substance.” It is the foundation of all existing things. It contains the seeds, ideas, wisdom and intelligence that inspire and stimulate us to think, desire, dream, have faith and make things happen.

All things are created from and are comprised of this Substance. This energy works in and through the minds of human beings. When we ask for ideas, we receive the wisdom, understanding and inspiration we want. As we imagine and picture our goals and desires, we mold the Substance of the Universe to that thing we have chosen.

Our thoughts, beliefs, words and actions mold the invisible Substance into its visible form. The invisible Substance or energy molds itself to our choices and beliefs, and then presents itself into our visible world.

One of the first things you learn in Metaphysics is that we are life-giving, spiritual beings. You give life by thinking, feeling and believing. You give life knowingly and unknowingly. You become the qualities you give life to.

You give life to praise and appreciation. You give life by condemnation and criticism. Even unwelcome conditions would not have come about if life had not been given to them. Whatever you think and feel strongly about, believe in and react to is what receives life.

It can be something you want, just as well as something you don’t want. Fear gives life to and strengthens that which you fear. Hatred gives life to and strengthens the nature of the person or character of the thing hated. Anger gives life to and strengthens the individual to whom you direct your anger.

When you give life through love, praise, appreciation and happy attitudes, you reap a harvest of blessings. When you give life through anger, worry and criticism, you reap a harvest of misery.

Even more importantly, by giving life to the negative qualities in another person or situation through criticism, anger or condemnation, those qualities are strengthened in them. You also strengthen those qualities within yourself.

When you know how energy lives, you have no excuse for not having everything you want. You have no excuse for not being happy.

Whatever you give life to is manifested in our world. If there is something you would rather not have, you can stop giving it energy by taking your mind off of it. You give life to anything you choose.
