Become a Member of The Audience

A Member of the Audience

There are no short cuts to Heaven and the way to the Higher Consciousness is by tak-ing yourself in hand. If you are in earnest, begin to watch yourself. Get off the stage of your life, and get into the audience. Watch yourself and be impartial in your judgments. Do not make excuses for yourself but do not be too harsh either in your opinions.

It does not matter where you stand today. The fact that “I” is watching “Me” means that you have taken one of the greatest steps forward. When you see yourself doing things that are useless, or perhaps even mean or petty, stop them. When you find that “I” can laugh at “Me”, it means that your life is commencing to change for the better.

Finally, you will find that “Me” is beginning to get in step with “I”, and when that happens you are truly on the road to hav¬ing dominion over your life.

There are no short cuts to Heaven but you can have fun changing your life over if you be-come a member of the audience.

Key to Results

Key to Results

Prayer is the one thing that can make a change in your life. It matters not what your religion may be, or whether you adhere to none. If you will go direct to God in simple, affirmative prayer, you can heal your body, bring peace and harmony into your life, enlarge your social contacts, and make prosperity a reality.

Of course, those in the Truth teaching already know this, but sometimes discouragement sets in because the demonstration does not come immediately.

Now, if there is one rule we should make in regard to prayer, it is that we must be persistent. Of course, we should always feel that the prayer we are making is the one that will demonstrate, but we should also always be ready to pray again if the demonstration does not.

Persistence in prayer is really only an expression of our abiding faith in God’s love and goodness, for by our persis-tence we are affirming our belief that God does answer prayer.

Persistence in prayer always brings results.

Finding Your Gold Mine

Finding Your Gold Mine

In the old gold rush days prospectors went out in the mountains in search of the yellow metal. Often the task was long and arduous with little to show for days of struggle and privation.

But when a find was made, the prospector would stake his claim so that others would know that that particular discovery belonged to him.

Of course, some claims turned out to be shallow veins of ore and worth little, while other claims eventually made their owners fabulously wealthy.

In metaphysics, we often speak of claiming our good, and it is one of the surest ways of bringing the good we desire into our lives.

Unlike the prospector, however, when we stake our claim with God, we need have no anxiety about the results.

If you want health, then claim every day that God is your health, that as a child of God you have perfect health (the present temporary appearance notwithstanding), that Divine Life brings well-being to every part of your body.

If you want prosperity, then claim every day that God is your prosperity and the Giver of every good gift, that God knows you and is ready to more than supply your every need.

If you want peace and harmony, then claim every day that God brings you the peace that passeth all understanding, that all things work together for good to them that love God.

Whatever it is you wish to bring into your life, stake your claim to it.
Of course, we often claim negative things for ourselves without fully realizing it.

Every time you say, “My cold,” “My headache”, you are claiming those things for yourself.

Affirm your divine kinship. All that the Father hath of health, and happiness, and abundance, is yours—if you stake your claim with God.

Intelligence (FromThe 7 Main Aspect of God)

The 7 main aspects of God – Intelligence

This is from Emmet Fox’s “The 7 Main Aspects of God”

God is not merely intelligent but God is Intelligence itself.

When you clearly realize that this is an intelligent universe it will make a major difference in your life.

It is obvious that in an in-telligent universe there cannot be any disharmony because all ideas must work together for the common good.

This means that there can be no clashing or overlapping anywhere, and neither can there be any lack.

It is especially important to re¬alize that God is Intelligence, for the following reason: It some¬times happens that when people outgrow the childish idea that God is just a magnified man, they go to the opposite extreme and think of God as merely a blind force, like gravity or electricity.

This means that they have lost all sense of the Love and Fatherhood of God.

In an intelligent universe there can be neither cruelty nor waste.

God is not a person in the usual sense of the word. God has every quality of personality except its limitation.

It is true that the human mind cannot imagine any personality which is not limited, but this difficulty arises from the very limitations of the human mind itself, and, of course, this does not af-fect the nature of God.

The Bible says, in effect, whatever you think I am, that will I be to you; and this means that if we attribute to God every quality of an infinite, intelligent, loving personality, having infinite power, God will be just that to us.

In acquiring these wider and better ideas of God you should not feel that you have, so to speak, left the God of your childhood for a new God, but that you are simply getting a better and more adequate idea of the same God that you always worshiped; because, of course, there is only one God.

Treat yourself for Intelligence at least two or three times a week, by thinking about it, and claim¬ing it for yourself.

This practice will make every activity of your life more efficient.

When things in your life seem to be going wrong, treat yourself for Intelligence.

Children and young people respond very readily indeed to a treatment for In¬telligence. If you are interested in a child at school or a young person at college, treat him several times a week for Intelligence.

Remember also the wonderful fact that when you treat a person (or yourself) spiritually, the result of that treatment will be with the patient not only in the present time, but for the rest of his life.

The Intelligence Aspect of God is very important in its relation to the health of the body. When the human race realizes clearly enough that God is Intelligence, the “old age belief’ will be overcome.

When we dwell upon one of these aspects we are developing that quality in ourselves.

Emmet Fox – “The Mills of God”

Do you know how to make things happen in your life? If you want to know more check out “The Art of Making Things Happen”.

Here, though is another significant Emmet Fox story

The Mills of God

by Emmet Fox

Another basic error that misleads many people is this – they think of God and man in terms only of the moment, or, at most, of a few years. They want to see everything squared up and settled within a year or two and because this does not happen, they decide that there is no justice in the universe, no law and order, and they wonder why God does not step in and do something about it.

Now, you are going to live forever – somewhere. You are going to live, not for century or a thousand centuries but forever. And so you will see that a year or two, or twenty or thirty years, is a very short time in which to look for permanent results. The mills of God grind slowly but they grind exceedingly small. The gardener does not say that there is no law in nature because his crop does not come up a week after he sows it. We do not say that the railroad has broken down because the train is not in Chicago half an hour after it leaves New York, but we are
often tempted to think that there is no law of justice and righteousness because we do not see the results of people’s good or evil deeds very soon after they happen.

Whatsoever a man soweth, says the Bible, that shall he also reap. This reaping takes time. If it seems to you that in your own life you have not received your desserts, the answer is that the end is not yet. God is never mocked, and sooner or later every prayer is answered. Every good thought, or word, or deed produces its fruit of happiness and spiritual advancement, and of course every negative thing for which we are also responsible will have to be met and overcome also. Nature always takes her time, and to understand her you must take the long view too.’

Next time we wonder why our affirmations haven’t worked or we haven’t received any ‘good’ following our doing good, re-read this and realize the mills of God are grinding and great things will happen.

But you can get a head start over at “The Art of Making Things Happen”.
