Stop Checking The Mail

mailbox_opened_letter_text_11236This is a follow-on post for you after you “placed your order” with the Universe. If you’d done your homework properly, figured out what you really wanted, defined it down to the finest detail, and then laid it out there for the Universe to process and deliver, you have appropriately placed your order.

Now, your job is to have faith that the Universe will deliver your order to your door. One of the quickest ways to keep it from showing up in your life is to continually check to see if it’s come yet and then wondering why not.

Faith means knowing that the Universe is powerful and will produce this “thing’ you want. The only requirement is really a passion of yours and since you’ve picked out the size and color (as in a catalog) and put in the right address for delivery.

Now you have to understand the difference between manifestation and materialization. Manifestation happens as soon as you hit the order button! Materialization, though, may take some time depending on various circumstances. One of those circumstances is your faith and belief that this will happen. Here is where your underlying limiting beliefs get in the way and you have to work on uncovering them (another post in a week or so). You can sit there and say you believe but if you continue to focus on your lack of having this thing or lack of having other things in your life and you will be surrounded by negative vibrations – or vibrations that repel the Universe from your doorstep. You simply attract more lack.

Since limiting beliefs are very deep and may not be easily uncovered quickly, one way to keep them at bay and prevent them from interfering in your delivery is to use a repetitive phrase whenever doubt or thoughts of lack enter your mind. Use something like “that is not my truth” or “Nothing and no one can interfere in my receipt of this wonderful gift from the Universe, NOT even myself.” or “Everything always works out for me”.

Bottom line is that you have to just “let go” of thinking about the thing and about when it’s going to arrive or IF it’s going to arrive. use a phrase to get your mind off of it and on to other things. Just like a package, the Universe will deliver your gift sooner than you realize if you let go of it and stop checking your mailbox to see if it showed up yet.

Try it and combine the distraction technique using one of these phrases. See what happens.

Tuesdays With Terrie

tuesdays-with-terrie-cropped  It’s only been a short time since I last gave you an update but I wanted to get   back on track with Tuesdays.

I have slowed down in the past few months. I am pretty sure that there were “clues” or “suggestions” along the way  – especially since last September. However, in my not-so-infinite wisdom I didn’t pay attention.

So, as always will happen, the Universe moved to get my attention. And get my attention it did!

First it was my back (lifting something to help my back..ha ha). That has been about 5 weeks now and is much, much better. But it certainly slowed me down a great deal.

Then, as that was wrapping up, I developed this intestinal/abdominal problem which has also put a hamper on my activities.

Both these events have helped me focus on my body. Now, I could have done that in one of two ways – the “obsessed” way I’ve seen people embrace since I’ve been involved with the medical field. Or, the “attentive” way, where you look at what’s going on with introspection and attention in order to see what else is going on in your life and what you’re really supposed to do.

I much prefer the latter way because “instrospection” is much more positive than bemoaning all that has happened with the “poor me” and “why me” and “what else can happen” mindsets. Instead, I prefer preceding all my “sessions” with myself with “Everything Always Works Out For Me!” and then asking the Universe for Divine Guidance and to “show me the way”.  There’s really no way I can go wrong using those techniques. Even when facing surgery, using the “everything always works out for me” has markedly reduced the anxiety. That potential anxiety is currently compounded by not knowing who will do it or when – uncertainty sucks sometimes. However, one thing I have been taught in a course I’m taking is to embrace uncertainty. When you embrace the uncertaintly, you can enjoy and learn from life as you go through it, experiencing the journey. This is as opposed to waiting until I know what’s going to happen and when before I can relax and enjoy my life. I’ve done that enough times in my life and no longer choose to do that. I’m trying to learn from the medical issues that are ongoing while I wait to have them remedied. And you know what? I am learning a lot AND by slowing down and experiencing everything, I feel pretty darn good!

For one thing, slowing down has made me aware of the amount of low level stress I have been experiencing in my life for oh, so many years. I’ve been paying attention to that now and doing all I can to eliminate as much of what is causing the stress as possible. This often means letting go of the past, while opening my mind to the future and taking action. There is one particular project I have definitely been procrastinating over and I know that the roots of that procrastination are in my past. Obviously I’m holding on to them and that’s what has made me continue to procrastinate. Well, now that I’ve realized what that (and the cause) has done to my body, it’s time to take action and rid myself and my thoughts of those causes (limiting beliefs) and replacing them with new energy and action. This is a very significant life lesson for me.

I feel very calm about all of this and that’s just amazing in and of itself.

Slow down some and see what it feels like.

More next week if we’re lucky.

Momentum Monday

momentum-monday1“Start taking pleasure from your inner reality. Most people are approaching this backwards. Most people are saying, “Okay, I want that, and I am not fulfilled until I get that manifestation.” The reason for that promise of manifestation out there, to begin with, is that it gives you the reason to play the game in the inner reality. It is your imagination, it is the feeling of Energy flowing through you that is life.” —Abraham [Excerpted from the workshop: Kansas City, KS on September 27, 1998]

I’ve seen this so many times – and have been victim of it myself. “I’ll be happy when _________” and just fill in the blank. But you never know what will happen between now and the “when” arriving. Things change in a heartbeat. So enjoy your life NOW, don’t wait for anything at all. Enjoy the moment knowing you’re on a journey – a journey that can be more beautiful than any you’ve taken so far – if you just let it be that way. Even if it’s a journey just to work but work will lead you to be able to do more with your life. Take each step loving what you see, what you feel, what you’re experiencing, what’s happening to those around you when you’re there, everything. If you’ve thought about something, you’ve already manifested it – the Universe has already created it for you. It’s just your job to allow the Law of Gestation work and let it come to you in the time that’s required. But know that once you’ve imagined/imaged it in your mind, it will be yours soon in the material world and rejoice in “having” it now. Believe it or not this will speed its arrival because it will generate more of the positive emotions that increase your allowance and letting it into your life.

Work on this process this week. Everytime you think “when”, replace it with a visualization that you already have or are doing whatever it is that followed the “when”. Then see what happens as you enjoy having that item in your life. You really can enjoy it even if it has not yet materialized.

Don’t Be A Ping Pong Ball

img_1519Do you find yourself not getting what you want?

Perhaps it’s because you haven’t specified to the Universe exactly what you want. Or, you might have said “I want this” one day and then another day say “oh, I really want that” – bouncing back and forth between items.

I’ve told you many times about why I haven’t gotten a new car. I bounce between wanting a Honda hybrid and a Toyota hybrid. Until I can make up my mind, the Universe continues to play ping pong. It fills one “order” and then when I think that maybe the other type of car has better features, it starts to fulfill that order. But then I’ll flip back again. Who knows how many orders for a new car the  Universe has fulfilled for me. But, I will tell you that it has NOT delivered any of them because I have never hit the “Place order” button. You know how when you order things, you have to go through several steps but the final step is always placing your order. You can hit the back button or change this or change that all you want. However, you won’t ever receive your order if you never place it.

What i would have to do (and you, as well, substituting your desire for my car analogy/metaphor) is make up my mind about which vehicle I want – bottom line, nothing more, nothing less. How simple can it be? Why do you think I can’t make up my mind? I’m not certain except that I don’t want a new vehicle badly enough. I love my current car and only want a second car as a backup. I don’t need a car like that as a second car. I also have no space right now in my garage. If I really wanted the car, I would clean out a place for it, go look at potential vehicles so I could see which one drove like I like it, smelled and looked like I like it, etc. I would be taking action! Remember that the Universe loves action.

It’s one thing to sit around and talk about “gee, I’d really like something” and yet do nothing about it. Recently I hurt my back and I could have sat around and whined about not being able to run or sit or do much of anything. But, I took action – I pulled out all the stops – I made appointments with my acupuncturist, my AIRROSTI provider, found the two medicines I’ve used with success and rested. I adjusted my environment so I had to stand, not only because it hurt more to sit but also because it is healthier to stand.  I found all the positive aspects of this situation that I could. I did NOT dwell on the pain and problems. I focused on getting it better. And it is getting better. If I had just concentrated on how bad it was and how it was negatively impacting my running (and my life), I would have succeeded only in receiving more of the same. And that is NOT what I want at all.

You have to take some time to decide what it is you really want. You can use the clarity vs contrast procedure to do that. Think about what you don’t want and then write down the opposite – how does that feel inside you – if it feels good, then it’s  what you want and you can then proceed to define the specifics of it (to continue to use the car – I would list the color, whether automatic or standard, how many doors, how many cylinders, etc right down to the interior surface and color and radio..all the specifics). Then I would ‘Place my Order” by saying “this is the car I want” and then I would LET GO! just as you do when you send in an order. You sit and wait for it to be delivered, knowing that it will come on schedule. We will talk about checking

Stop changing your mind. Figure out what you want (find your “why” first – that will help you determine what it is you really want easier), tell the Universe with feeling and be adamant about it and then let it come to you!
