I Want It & I Want It Yesterday

instant gratification2…. and the Law of Attraction says it’s out there but it hasn’t arrived yet. Therefore, the Law of Attraction doesn’t work for me!

I hear that over and over again (and as a result I post about it frequently too). Why is it so hard for people to believe that the Law of Attraction always works – all the good and the bad (remember that there really is no good or bad – that it’s all a matter of degree and the contrast shows us what we really want)?

Once you figure out what it is you really want and get specific about the details of that goal/desire (not how it’s going to be delivered), you make a statement that you want xxxxxx. You can now move on with your life and let it go. Your order has been placed and the Universe has created it an is ready to deliver it. But if you continually revisit and wonder if you did the right thing or if you need to do something different for it to arrive. You begin to question the Universe. You forget the Law of Gestation and you continually dig up the soil to see where the rose is. That will only keep the rose from growing and continually questioning or doubting will keep your “order” from being delivered.

Always remember that when you have placed your order (decided what you want), leave it alone. Don’t continually be thinking about it because that then focuses on your lack of it. That’s why I recommend you go to bed at night with the thoughts of how you feel – how you are healthy and how you are prosperous in every aspect of your life. Do NOT think about being healed = lack of health. Don’t focus on your bills being paid = lack of prosperity.

If something isn’t coming to you, then remember the Law of Gestation and let your desire go again. Tell yourself that the gestation period hasn’t completed yet. You can also examine whether or not you’re focusing on lack in any way. Are you thinking about your symptoms and fearing what they might mean? Are you focusing on the bills that are lying around. If you are, then the prosperity will not come to you because your attention is on the absence of what you want.

Positive Thinking Doesn’t Work……By Itself

picking_your_brainWhat you are vibrating is often different from what you’re saying or “thinking”. You can say all the positive things you want, affirmations in every sentence…but unless you’ve cleared the land (gotten rid of all the negative stuff in your belief system), the affirmations’ effect will be minimal or if you see a result then it most likely will be temporary.

Your vibrations are based on your feelings. Although affirmations and positive thinking can give you a temporarily improved feeling so that you think you’re doing everything correctly, reality is that you still have that underlying anxiety about the lack in your life. Why is that still there? Because you didn’t identify your limiting beliefs and then work to clear them out, replacing them with new beliefs.

Every time you say an affirmation such as “I am prosperous and wealthy”, your soul feels the contradiction between the words and the feeling “I don’t deserve to be prosperous” or “all prosperous people are greedy”  or “money is the root of all evil” etc. When there are these contradictory thoughts and feelings inside of you, your vibrations bounce back and forth like a ping pong ball. Nothing can come from that except more confusion and sensation of lack. You feel confused and clumsy and when saying the affirmations (or doing other types of positive thinking), you feel worse than before but you can’t identify the reason. You’re still stuck in the lack belief/vibration and that’s what rules your results.

This is why so many people say that positive thinking or the Law of Attraction “doesn’t work”.

It will work but not by itself. You have to obey the other Universal laws and work on getting rid of your limiting beliefs.

Don’t Revert to Worry Just Because You Think “It Doesn’t Work”

s332Frequently people give up too soon when they are trying to get what they have asked for. For some reason, people have decided when “long enough” is actually long enough. They have nothing to base that opinion on when it comes to manifestation and subsequent materialization. But despite that fact they still make their own decisions. We have talked about the Law of Gestation and how the Universe has its own time frames for delivering what you’ve asked for. However, I think it’s that we are so used to instant gratification and simply “expect” special delivery for everything.

This goes along with our recent discussion about not outlining or not telling the Universe HOW it should deliver what you’ve asked for. Same thing applies to telling the Universe WHEN it should be delivered to your doorstep. Determining WHEN you need it is also considered outlining.

Unfortunately when people stop believing something is going to come to them because it hasn’t arrived yet, they revert to thinking about the lack and absence of it – right back to where they were before they chose to believe it could actually happen. At that point, the concentration on not having received it yet puts you back into a position of low vibration – that of lack. This happens because you’re now thinking “I’ll never get this. I knew I wasn’t good enough or didn’t deserve it. The Law of Attraction may work for everyone else but not for me.”

What’s happened in that sentence (thought/feeling of disappointment and discouragement) is that you’ve begun to focus on the lack in worry2your life – again. So, you’re back to where you were to begin with but maybe a bit lower because you had some hope and then it seems as if the rug was pulled out from under your feet.

So what the heck should you do? Tell yourself that you were trying to beat the Law of Gestation and do a form of outlining (by adding the WHEN to the request). Realize that you have no business making those specific demands. Just believe that it will be delivered when it’s supposed to be delivered and it WILL be at the right time. Even though  you think you have a specific deadline, let’s say, to receive a certain amount of money, let that go and realize that if you’ve asked for the correct thing, you will have it in the right time frame. You may need to re-examine the way you’re asking for something. Maybe you won’t say “I want $5000.00 by 1 October 20xx”. Would this be as accurate but give more latitude to the Universe?: “I will have the mortgage payment taken care this month and every month”.  This allows the Universe find someone (or some way) to provide you who will pay the mortgage for you. Or maybe someone who will take care of other bills you have, providing you with your own money that could pay the mortgage. Perhaps you might get a great offer for refinancing your house. It is always possible that your mortgage company will allow you to take a month off for the payment. Anything is possible with the Universe if you just allow it to work. You are NOT in charge of the How or the When, just the What…and then you have be willing to accept whatever you’re brought knowing that it is part of your materialization even if it looks strange and doesn’t seem to “fit in with” your idea of how things should be. Remember that your view is limited. You only use a very small portion of your brain power so how could we possibly know the best way that the Universe should operate.

So, the silly song “Don’t Worry, Be Happy” is actually true. Don’t worry and don’t revert to the negativity or lack that you were mired in before you thought you’d try to change. Stay positive and remember that there are more governing rules in our lives than just the Law of Attraction. When something doesn’t seem to be working, there may be more to the story than you realize.

Have faith in the Universe

“Good vibrations”

If you’re thinking that I don’t write about anything other than vibrations, you could be right… ha ha. But, that should show you the importance of working to get your vibrations to the highest possible plane.

I can attest to the validity of this statement – when I can get my vibration up above all the daily worries and problems (that I create much to my chagrin), the day goes so much more smoothly. You would think I’d be able to remember that in the morning. You’d also think I’d be able to remember that I create the havoc and hectic environment I’m experiencing right now. I do know it…I just don’t remember it in time to change things.

So what should I do to improve my vibrations?

One easy thing is to do segment intending. Before I get out of bed I should “pave” the way for at least the first part of my day even if it’s just running. The whole point is that you do this paving of your day segment by segment. Before I leave for work, I should pave my ride to work so it’s smooth without red lights or traffic. Then when I pull in the parking lot, I will segment intend my first interactions and even extend to the first meeting or two. I’ll do this before I enter the building. When it’s time to pave the way to another segment I’ll go into the restroom and pave another segment (don’t you wish all road construction was this effective?) and on and on.

Another thing I can do is write in my Book of Positive Aspects each night to write the positive things about the folks that I am creating that havoc with or around. That’s worked well in the past for me. I need to work it on a regular schedule.

So, my goal this week is to raise my vibrations to the point that’s talked about in the quote above. We’ll see what happens! I know this stuff works but as they say “you have to work it”.

Home Sweet Home!

stick_figure_drawing_house_400_clr_9637Your life is like planning for a new home. There are particular steps you have to take in order to live comfortably with minimal to no problems. You don’t just get some land, stick a tent on it and move in unless that’s the style of life you’re used to living and want.

You usually follow the following steps:

  • Obtain the property
  • Clear the land
  • Build the foundation
  • Build the remainder of the house
  • Furnish the house
  • Move in & start living

So how is your life like this process?

Think about it this way. Can you simply turn things over by thinking “ok, today I will change my beliefs and my life will be changed forever”? No, that’s a start but you have to follow this “Home, Sweet Home” process to make the changes really take effect.

Obtain the Property: This is equivalent to obtaining the knowledge – that life can be different, understanding the Law of Attraction and the other Universal Laws. Additionally, this step involves making the decision that you want to change things.  Often times people will start to make changes without having a basic understanding that what’s holding them back is not the Universe but their YOUnVerse – the beliefs and thoughts inside their minds. Therefore it’s in their control – they are not subject to the happenings of the Universe.

Clear the Land: This is one of the most essential steps. If you were to start building your house without clearing the land (and without laying the foundation), you’d have floors that are bumpy and not straight. The stairs are not even. You can’t stack things on top of one another. What a mess. The land has to have the trees removed (including the stumps and roots), rocks placed elsewhere and the land free of obstacles. You have to do the same.

This part may take the longest of all but once you do it, you’ve accelerated your path toward greatness. You examine your beliefs and determine which ones are limiting and which are the ones you still want to believe it. You look at your beliefs objectively (very difficult) and figure out who instilled them in you (parents, teachers, friends, clergy, media, etc).  Once you have determined where the beliefs came from, you can next evaluate whether or not they are still pertinent and whether or not you should continue to believe them.

Things change and evolve over the years. For instance, there are diseases that didn’t have treatment or vaccines when I was a child but now do. Should I continue to believe these diseases are not treatable? Of course not. These are beliefs I need to dissolve and replace with new beliefs. Remember that a belief is just at thought you keep thinking over and over again.

You can change your beliefs in several ways – you can use denials, you can use affirmations with denials, you can use EFT, etc. custom_text_on_a_shelf_13626Simple analysis with your analytical mind won’t do it although it will help. Beliefs are so embedded in your subconscious that you have to work not only on the cognitive function but also the emotional aspect.

Build the Foundation: Once your old beliefs have been identified and you’ve begun to remove them, you should replace them with the beliefs you choose to embrace at this point in your life. This is creating the foundation for your new life. This phase also consists of learning more about the Universal Laws so that you can understand what is happening in your life and why.
