Lisa Marie Keller on Chronic Fatigue and Exhaustion..and what you can do about it!

lisa marie kellerI had the pleasure of interviewing Lisa Marie Keller  and  was so excited to talk with her about her personal achievement in overcoming chronic fatigue and exhaustion (since the age of 14) and to listen to the various modalities she uses with people to guide them in their own accomplishments. It’s just another example of how the Law of Attraction works. Everything she talked about, except for one thing, I have have heard of and completely embrace – even from a medical standpoint! That’s amazing.

I encourage anyone who’s experiencing problems with chronic fatigue and exhaustion (or if you know someone who is) to listen to this interview and get a glimpse of how Lisa can help you.

She takes a very personal approach and works with people on an individual basis, tailoring plans and programs to your own needs – there is no “one fix for everything” as we medical folks frequently do – we try to fit everything into one box and if it doesn’t fit, then we don’t know what to do. But Lisa knows what to do. She is the perfect example of what I like to call Integrative Medicine – a combination of traditional and alternative medicine (to me, medicine is medicine and there really isn’t an alternative – what matters is what works without causing further harm).

She is truly amazing because she has many certifications and that knowledge is all incorporated into her plans for folks – most people who have these certifications specialize so that you have to find many providers (I’m talking about things like EFT, body work etc, not medical providers) but Lisa has leading edge certifications and is willing to work with you using all of them – whatever is right for you at the moment. She’s able to adjust as you adjust. Her own personal experience has helped her weed out what doesn’t work and concentrate on what does.

This was one of the very best interviews I’ve ever done and I highly recommend you listen and then visit Lisa’s website to see more about her programs!

Honoring Kay Christopher – Day #3 – Honor Someone Who Has Inspired You

page27_1 Do you know what EFT is? I didn’t for the longest time but I will tell you that it’s probably THE most important technique I’ve ever learned. And although I had tried it (actually that should read “dabbled in it”), I didn’t think I knew how to use it effectively. I did know that it was something that made me cry out of the clear blue sky one time when I was “tapping” along with a CD I had ordered on pain relief.  THAT really hit home with me but I still didn’t get into it as deeply as I should have – probably out of fear of the unknown and fear that I wasn’t doing it right (so the answer is to not do it at all right? NOT).

EFT is Emotional Freedom Technique or “Tapping” – it’s a form of energy medicine based on the meridians in your body (so based on ancient medical principles – the best kind there is that I’ve ever encountered). If you want to know more about what EFT is you can check out Gary Craig’s website (the founder of EFT).

But this is about another person who’s changed my life. She is  Kay Christopher – my EFT practitioner (I think that sounds weird to put “my” in front of that – like I could own someone but then again people say that Dr. so and so is “my” doctor so I guess it’s accepted..LOL).

I “met” Kay (on the phone) over 2 years ago kind of by accident. She used to be a therapist and I needed an evaluation before a surgical procedure I had so a friend recommended I ask her. This friend (who is also on my “Top 30” list so stay tuned) had told me about Kay’s doing EFT but since she lived in Austin I didn’t really see how I could do any of that “stuff” on the phone. But I called Kay to find out if she could do the other evaluation. She told me ‘no’ she didn’t do that any more. But since I had her on the phone and was anxious about the surgery I thought “what the heck” maybe I’ll see what this “phone EFT” is. So I made an appointment with her.

There was no looking back after that. I was hooked. And I began changing. Almost every week, Kay guided me through all the changes that were to come in my life. I had no idea so many changes were coming. I knew I wasn’t happy and that my life was actually quite a stick_figure_holding_letter_e_400_clr_7746 stick_figure_holding_letter_f_400_clr_7701 mess.  But it was a nebulous entity – I was so wrapped up in work and was working almost every hour of every day (still trying to cover for a doctor who had died in 2007 and also creating a new computer system stick_figure_holding_letter_t_400_clr_7742for our organization etc). My health was not good. I had no relationships outside of work (you need time for that). All my life equaled was work and I knew that at 62 years old I did NOT want that anymore.  And this was even before I met Dan.

EFT helped unblock the energy flow in my body (my description, not anything official). Although major changes happen each time you tap, there are so many layers of blockage that it’s like the proverbial onion that needs to be peeled back.

Kay worked with me every single week – patiently helping me uncover areas that I wanted to work on. So we’d tap and tap and tap and almost every week another change took place in me. She is such an expert at uncovering my problem areas and asking the correct questions to find out what I needed – probing questions which I didn’t always like but I trusted Kay enough to know that they were vital questions.

Would I have begun working with Dan last year without Kay – I’m not sure. It took courage for me to go to the gym and ask for help (it’s always been difficult for me to ask for help all my life – until I got into working with Kay) because I felt I wasn’t worth it or worth taking up his time. I would have been worried about the embarrassment of an old fart working out in front of all the other people there, etc.

Would I have started running again without Kay? I don’t know that either. I suspect I might not have for the same reasons. Fear – she has helped me conquer so much fear in so many areas of my life – many people keep telling me how much I’ve accomplished in my life – and I guess they are right but FEAR has held me back from achieving so much more.

Would I have had the courage to show up at Parvaneh’s events and then ask her if I could actually continue running with the folks of her caliber. NO, I would not have had that courage. I can say that flat out. Without tapping and Kay’s “unroofing” of my inner fears and conflicts I would NEVER have showed up at that first event. And if I had, I would never have gone back. For that alone I owe Kay so much. I cannot thank her sufficiently.

You may be saying to yourself – “well, that’s her job, after all Terrie you are paying her”. And yes, you’re right I am paying her. But you can pay alot of people and still not have them help you to such a great degree week after week after week. A lot of folks reach their limits in how they can help you but Kay has NEVER reached any limits (except maybe patience with me but she’s never mentioned it fortunately) – her experience and knowledge are boundless and I continue to be impressed weekly with her kindness, compassion as well as her brilliance.

Thank you Kay – without you  I don’t know where I would be today but it would definitely be in a very bad place.

Processing The Tragedy in Connecticut

We have all been devastated to a degree by the senseless shooting of innocent children (and adults) in Connecticut.  Parents, especially, may be feeling a deep sense of fear for their own children.

Perhaps it even brings back memories for you of a time when you were terrified….maybe memories of 9/11 or Columbine or any of the other tragedies that have seemed to increase in the past few years.

How can we process this event, not contribute to the negative aspects of it and yet not appear cold to others?

First of all, I think people will think what they want to think of you no matter what you do. So why not do what’s best for you and your family?

You know I talk about vibration all the time – this is key right now. You must do everything you can to raise your vibration and this will take some doing as the news media latches on to this tragedy. I realize they have a job to do but it should NOT be 24 hours a day, saying and showing the same thing over and over again.  We all know the facts – at least 20 children and 6 adults (I might be off on the numbers) were killed by a deranged young man who simply burst into school and started shooting. Do you really need to know any more than than? If you said yes, ask yourself “why” you need to know more than that.

If you said “so I can prevent it from happening again”, you are deluding yourself. By concentrating on its occurrence and focusing so much of the country’s (and the world’s) time, emotions and energy on this crisis we are all working to bring MORE of it into our lives.

We have to work to raise our vibrations and feel love and compassion for those involved. Do anything you can (meditate, pray, hold hands, hug, whatever works for you) to get into a place of peace. As you begin to feel inner peace, you’ll also begin to radiate it outward and that is what we all want to do. The more peace and love we can radiate out toward those affected, the more good we are doing for them, rather than the “virtual rubbernecking” that we’re doing by being tied to the TV news.

Why is this so important? If you have children or are around children, remember that they know what’s going on even if you try to hide things. They read your emotions, they “know” you, they “feel” you and your thoughts, feelings and vibrations.

Do you want them to feel your fear? Of course not. You want to reassure them in any way possible. Let them know that they are safe and loved and that those in Connecticut will be taken care of, be loved and will thrive as children do – if we let them.

If you start to hover or be over protective, they will pick up on your fear. They will then start to be afraid and yet not know why.

It it NOT cold or mean or unfeeling to try to raise your vibration. Use the Rampage of Appreciation to get in a better feeling place. Use the “Wouldn’t it be nice if…” technique as well. More importantly say your “gratitudes” (use your Gratitude Journal) and show the Universe how much you appreciate what you have. NO matter how bad things seemed yesterday morning for you, I bet they appeared not so significant when you heard the news. Do anything you can to move your thoughts to the positive. Think about how resilient children are and think of examples in your own family life – that should bring smiles to your face. Write them down. Better yet, start planning 2013 and determining your plans to achieve your desires in 2013. Figure out what your desires really are. Take time to think about them and solidify them. Use this time to take an inventory of where you are and where you were last year and how far you’ve come. Do anything to focus on the positive right now. Play with your kids but don’t cling to them.

Remember NOT to tell this story over and over again. Do not engage with others who just want to revisit the same old stuff. Find a way to move off from those who have to discuss it. Change the topic, excuse yourself and slip away. Do anything to tell a positive story – even if it has to be a silent one inside your head. Also remember the invaluable phrase “That is not my truth”.

Help the vibration of the world become positive so that the magnetic energy diverted to Connecticut can be healing and loving energy, not anger or fear.

Let me know if you’ve found a way to accomplish this.

Tip of the Month – February

Let’s take a look at the Universal Laws this month.

The Law of Consciousness, the Law of Mind Action and the Law of Cause and Effect are the first three laws. I suggest at least once a month you review these first three laws. Sit down with a pen and paper and write down any new ideas that have come up that you think are limiting to you.

As you move into the next Laws coming up, you realize that our subconscious is like peeling skins off of an onion. We peel a little bit off at a time. We move through those and into a new awareness. Then we have to go back and pull off another layer. We look at another viewpoint with different things. Each time we evaluate where and who we are and what we’re doing with our lives.

We have within us that capacity to dream bigger, receive newer ideas and expressions of what we want to do and have an unfolding life that gets better all the time. It took us many years to limit ourselves through the subconscious action of error belief and the mistakes of life.

As we make these changes in our lives, we need to go back and look at the Law of Consciousness again.

What do we really believe? If we still attract unpleasant people to our lives, then we say, “What is it? Reveal to me this truth.” Ask yourself over and over, “Show me something new that I can do. Show me how I can let go of these old ideas. What is it that I need to let go of at this time?

Each time we move through a review of these earlier laws, we open up ourselves for the Christ mind to become stronger and more powerful in our lives. That is when your ideas begin to become genius activity. You begin to dream in bigger and better ways. The Christ in you has no limitations.

The Christ in you has no barriers. It has nothing that will prevent the Christ itself from being that radiant life of spirit within you. You can do all things. You begin to believe it as you get all of the little things out of the way that have kept you in struggle, overcoming and all of the things that you thought you had to do.

We work with the Law of Cause and Effect and realize that as we’re giving out, it’s coming back. The more stability we have in our ability to hold onto that faith that we’re working with these laws, the quicker and easier they come back to us.

In Spite Of

Here’s a great Emmet Fox post:

Success consists in the overcoming of difficulties. All men and women who have made a success of any kind have done so by overcoming difficulties. Where there are no difficulties to be overcome, anybody can get the thing done, and doing so cannot be called success.

There was a time when laying a telegraph line from New York to Boston presented many complicated changes. Then there was a time when doing that was easy, but laying the Atlantic cable was a great achievement, because of the perplexing areas which had to be overcome. Later on, marine cable laying became a routine business, but radio across the ocean presented problems which for a time seemed insurmountable. Then those difficulties were overcome too.

There are no personal areas that cannot be transformed by quiet, persistent, spiritual treatment, and the appropriate wise activity.

If you have a personal experience that seems to keep you from success, do not accept it as such, but capitalize it and use it as the instrument for your success.

H. G. Wells had to give up a dull underpaid job because of ill health, so he stayed at home and wrote successful books and became a world-known author instead. Edison was stone deaf and decided that this would enable him to concentrate better on his inventions. Beethoven did his work in spite of his deafness.

Theodore Roosevelt was a sickly child and was told he would have to lead a careful retired life. He was a very short-sighted and nervous little boy. Instead of accepting these suggestions, however, he worked hard to develop his body and became, as we know, a strong husky open-air man and big game hunter. Gilbert wrote Pinafore on a sick bed, wracked with severe pain.
The owner of a fashionable dress business in London started with northing but good taste in clothes and a belief in prayer, and is a wealthy and successful woman today.
Whatever you think your disadvantage is, capitalize it. Spiritual treatment and courageous determination can overcome anything.
