Stop Looking Outside Yourself – The YOUniverse Holds The Answers

youniverse

The Universe does not know whether the vibration that you’re offering is because of something you’re observing or something you’re remembering or something that you are imagining. It just receives the vibration and answers it with things that match it.

Most people think that to in order to have happiness, you have to be wealthy. But that’s not true.  Upon realizing they need to create their own happiness, many people just run out and start blowing lots of money because they think that’s how you get happy. But, unless they grasp this critical information their troubles are only just beginning.

If you rely on external circumstances or people for your happiness, then you have no control at all. Is this what you want? I don’t think so. After all, we all know that we cannot change other people. The best and fastest way to “change others” is to change yourself. In order to do that you have to go inside yourself and find the answers. The answers are there for sure. You can control what goes on in your mind and what you absorb and believe. As we talked about last week, you can change your environment and what you are exposed to and in so doing, you can also change how you think about things. You can question those beliefs that you were taught (remember that a belief is just a thought you keep thinking over and over). In questioning them you can determine if you wish to continue to believe them. You are old enough and smart enough to research the thoughts and beliefs and determine if they are just something you were taught by well-meaning (usually well-meaning) people and not necessarily what you still choose to believe.

The point is that you can change how you view a situation. You can continue to be upset by an event or look_closely_custom_text_13117you can choose to make the most of it. I have a close friend who has a serious condition and yet has chosen to deal with each and every curveball thrown in her direction. She is a model for others in how she approaches her problem. She simply marches on. Others might wallow in “oh no, now what” or “how could this happen to me” or think about how others are going to help them. None of that is productive. Facing the music and deciding what you are going to do with it is what matters – how are you going to think about the situation, the recommendations, the results? What are you going to do with your life in the face of what you’re up against. Are you going to roll over and give in or are you going to stand up to whatever it is and make the most of it and make yourself as happy as you can while enduring it? That would make the most sense wouldn’t it? Why make yourself more miserable?

You control EVERYTHING – remember the Law of Attraction ALWAYS works, not just to bring you good things. It’s working 24 hours a day 7 days a week.  Make the most of it and show the world that you are in control. Again, I recommend you think of hiring a coach to help you recognize what you can change and how.

It will amaze you how much faster you can get things done just by understanding that you have to stop looking outside yourself for answers and changes. Do it yourself. You know you can. The Universe is there to help you with this! Contact me about coaching if you want to learn more about coaching.

Ooooh, That Feels Good

how_are_you_feeling_button_400_clr_9148Which button will you push today? The “Happy” button I hope.

But lest you think I always am in the “Pollyanna” mode, I would be happy if you hit the “I feel OK” button too. Remember how Abraham talks about the emotional scale and there really are no bad or negative emotions. It’s an Emotional Guidance System with the emphasis on the word “guidance”. It’s not hard and fast and you can move quickly (or slowly) from one emotion to another. It’s better, though, if you move up the scale gradually – that avoids all the ups and downs that we experience sometimes. But back to the guidance part – sometimes we need to be deeper thinkers and not just look at the superficial. For example, when we’re maybe feeling “down” or “depressed” we might just continue to feel cruddy and think that everything is hopeless. Instead, if we could, it would be beneficial to find out why we feel down and then look at the scale and see what the higher emotion is and if we can try to get there.

Continuing the depressed example, the next emotion on the scale is unworthiness and even jealousy, insecurity and guilt. Then comes hatred and rage -> revenge and anger and so on.

Who would ever think that being jealous or feeling guilty would be a better emotion than depression. But if you think about it, it makes sense because it allows you to generate more energy than you have with depression. It alters your vibration and this is a good thing. The more your vibration raises, the closer you get to feeling better and getting whatever it is you’ve been asking for in the positive realm.

When you’re feeling not as happy as you’d like, try reaching for some thought or memory that made you happy at one time. I have coach_with_whistle_400_clr_4694recently had a very hard time with this. Since I had to drop from my trek across Tennessee only making it 104 miles, I was able to get over the initial disappointment and depression that is associated with wanting something for a year and then not having it materialize. I was able to look at all the factors involved (which are the topics for another time and another place) and then be proud of what did actually do. But what did get me down was the fact that I was sick/injured so badly I could hardly walk for almost three weeks and thought that I would never be able to run again. Most of you know how important running is in my life so that was something I was having a hard time dealing with. I kept trying to get myself back up the emotional scale but wasn’t find the key. Finally, though, I was able to  reach out to my EFT coach with whom I had not been in touch with for 8 months. But I knew I wasn’t being successful by myself and recognized I needed help. She worked with me and got me on the right track and within a few days my back and body was well on the mend. I still haven’t run yet but am just giving it a few more days to completely heal. This is the longest I’ve been forced to not run in a very long time but it’s one of the smartest things I’ve done. So, even though I could be depressed that I’m not running, I find myself focusing on how smart a a move it is to not push it but to be giving myself time to get better and hopefully not get injured again. I could be focusing on the “poor me” part of all this but I’m making myself attend to the wisdom surrounding my decisions.

Pay attention to the way you feel and do whatever it takes to just move your emotions up the scale. Don’t be shooting for the moon but just a  little movement. Once you see that you can accomplish that, then you’ll realize you can move up again when you’re ready.

Always remember to consider getting a coach especially to help you with these tougher times. Explore different possibilities of engagement with your potential coach. See what will work for you both. But Coaching is invaluable.

Momentum Monday

momentum-monday1

We would like you to release the word “achieve” or “earn” from your vocabulary and from your understanding, altogether; and we would like you to replace those words with the word “allow”. You’re wanting to allow your Well-being, not achieve it. It’s not something that you need to earn. All you have to do is decide what it is you would like to experience, and then allow it in order to achieve it. It isn’t something you have to struggle for or try for. You are all worthy beings. You are deserving of this Well-being.

—Abraham

Excerpted from the workshop: Detroit, MI on July 08, 2000

This is a very important concept and I’d like you to take a look at your language (verbally and internally) this week. Once you realize the reality of this it will release so much stress  from you life because it’s that feeling that you have to strive and work hard to get something or somewhere that puts the pressure on you. Along with the pressure comes the feeling of lack. You wouldn’t be trying to “earn” something if you weren’t missing it in your life.

Remember that you have everything you need – the Universe has produced it for you as soon as you proclaimed that it was something you wanted. Once you determined that there was something you wanted, the Universe brought it to your door. The only thing you have to do is open the door and allow it to come in. Although this quote refers to well-being, it applies to everything in your life.

Pay attention to the things you think about having to achieve or earn. Set your internal watchdog to identify these words in your thoughts. When you do find them creeping into your conscious mind, take control and immediately change the wording to “allow”.

See if this makes any difference and let us know by putting your results in the comments box.

Change Your Environment, Change Your Vibration

sphere_custom_14887No, this doesn’t mean you have to pack up and move your house and all your belongings! But there are things you can do to alter your environment and remove the toxic effects.

Those things that surround you continue to influence you 24 hours a day. What you are exposed to is absorbed constantly by your subconscious mind. Then your subconscious mind affects your vibrational frequency.  And we all know that it’s your vibrations that determine what you really attract via the Law of Attraction – regardless of what you “say” you want. It’s all about vibration and feeling.

No matter how positive you try to be or how many affirmations you say, if your subconscious mind is constantly bombarded by the opposite – complaints, unhappiness, discontent, disarray, rumors, gossip, etc – your subconscious will rule your being more than your conscious mind.

This is a typical scenario for those who say the Law of Attraction doesn’t work for them. You want happiness and joy but when you examine their your routine, you find out that you hang out around the office water cooler, listen to people complain all day about this and that or talk about what they don’t have that others do (resentment and envy). “Life’s not fair”, “I don’t have any luck”, “I never get anything”, etc etc etc.

Do you watch the news every night? Are you glued to CNN or MSNBC? When was the last time you saw or heard a half hour of positive happenings in the world on the evening or night time news? People want to hear about crime and blood and guts for some reason. The world doesn’t appear to be interested in good things that happen throughout the world even though awesome events occur all the time. So what happens when you’re exposed to all the news about crime and destruction and death and despair? That’s what seeps in to your subconscious mind and when that happens, your subconscious (which is not objective at all and doesn’t know good from bad) “assumes” that that is what you want more of. And guess what? It delivers……it delivers more and more of the bad stuff.

Do you have friends that are down in the dumps ALL the time, complaining about others, talking about poor me or how unfair life has been to them? If so, that is what you will attract more of…more misery and more friends that are living in lack. Do you want to be surrounded by lack and unhappiness? Really? Or is it because your friends like you and you’re happy that you have “friends” that care about you? Ask yourself this, though….do they really care about you? Would they be there for you if something bad happened in your life and they would have to stop wallowing in their problems to help you through yours? Try to answer this honestly. Now I am NOT talking about your friends that have legitimate concerns – serious injuries or illnesses that have had a tremendous impact on their lives. These are truly friends in need and those to whom you must devote as much attention as they need but also privately be seeing them as completely whole (not “healing” but completely whole – you do not want to visualize or see anything to do with healing because that then implies lack – lack of health and therefore illness and that is not what we want). I’m talking about the “friends” who are always having some sort of problem or crisis no matter what the situation. They can’t seem to exist without some sort of drama in their lives and they are trying to bring you into that drama – you do not want to be a part of that because it will lower your vibration and bring you down.

At work are there people who complain about everything, who don’t embrace any idea of change (I am not fond of change so this one is near and dear to my heart)? It’s one thing to not want to change or not be enthusiastic about it but quite another to be actively resisting it by trying to recruit other complainers and even embellishing the “hazards” of such change. Stay away from them and try to evaluate the recommendations on their own merit without the influence of others. And also without the influence of your past experience if you can do that (I’m still learning this one). One thing that will help with this is to use the Book of Positive Aspects for the person(s) who are instituting the change. Find the good things about them, write them down and see what happens.

Remember that the best way to see change in others is to change yourself. Then it doesn’t matter whether they have actually changed or you have – it’s what you experience that matters.

Take these steps to change your environment:

  • Evaluate the areas of your life and what your level of happiness (or prosperity) is in that area – health, peace of mind, happiness, wealth, relationships, etc
  • If you find an area that lacks what you wish, assess your environment and see if there are any influencing factors, both good and not so good:
  • Write them down and determine if you enjoy having them in your life or not
  • Assess what you can do to change the things you don’t like and what you can do to add more of what you do like
  • Start your book of positive aspects and write in it every day
  • Use the rampage of appreciation even when you’re in a situation when you’re not as happy as you’d like to be
  • Practice using Segment Intending to create or pave your entire day and your interactions with people. You could use this to avoid interacting with the folks that aren’t as positive as you’d like…and using Segment Intending this avoidance occurs without you feeling guilty or without it appearing as if you’re intentionally avoiding someone. It just happens. Remember that the Universe will create what you are vibrating/feeling – so if you’re feeling happy and wanting to move along calmly (let’s say) during a meeting, it will bring events and situations that will be calm. If you’re stressed and anxious over something, you will create more havoc because that’s what you’re focusing on.

Try these things to alter your environment and remove whatever it may be that is bringing your vibration down!

Get a coach to help you too. Sometimes you need help getting out of the quagmire. A Coach will help you. Contact me if you want more information on coaching.

Become A Wordsmith

hook_carrying_construction_plate_text_10894How many times have I talked to you about choosing your words wisely? Many times I know.

Why do you think that is?  Probably because words are your power! Words are also reflections of your thoughts and lead to other thoughts generated by the words you’ve just been using. And all of this leads to feelings. It is your FEELINGS that determine what you attract.

When people hear that their words are powerful, they think that just saying affirmations should bring them what they want. Affirmations do work but there are multiple aspects to this work. You have to carefully word your affirmation correctly. You have to make it believable (just like your goals) and most importantly you have to be able to accept it and divert your thoughts and feelings from the negative thoughts you’re having. Those negative thoughts will derail the effectiveness of the affirmation.

When you’ve written the affirmation or even just a statement of your goal, it should be in present tense, not have any double meaning words (such as bills – that could mean the invoices you receive every month or the cash you carry in your wallet). There shouldn’t be any trigger words for you either.  I can’t think of a specific example right now but I know that there are “positive” words that set some people off and will lead them down the wrong path toward a different momentum than they want.

Start by writing down the words that mean good things to you, that feel good and are words you want others to use to describe you or your life. For some people “epic” is a wonderful word. For me, for instance, I would never use it because I think it’s overused and I don’t like it. This is why you need your own list and your own words.
