Home Sweet Home!

stick_figure_drawing_house_400_clr_9637Your life is like planning for a new home. There are particular steps you have to take in order to live comfortably with minimal to no problems. You don’t just get some land, stick a tent on it and move in unless that’s the style of life you’re used to living and want.

You usually follow the following steps:

  • Obtain the property
  • Clear the land
  • Build the foundation
  • Build the remainder of the house
  • Furnish the house
  • Move in & start living

So how is your life like this process?

Think about it this way. Can you simply turn things over by thinking “ok, today I will change my beliefs and my life will be changed forever”? No, that’s a start but you have to follow this “Home, Sweet Home” process to make the changes really take effect.

Obtain the Property: This is equivalent to obtaining the knowledge – that life can be different, understanding the Law of Attraction and the other Universal Laws. Additionally, this step involves making the decision that you want to change things.  Often times people will start to make changes without having a basic understanding that what’s holding them back is not the Universe but their YOUnVerse – the beliefs and thoughts inside their minds. Therefore it’s in their control – they are not subject to the happenings of the Universe.

Clear the Land: This is one of the most essential steps. If you were to start building your house without clearing the land (and without laying the foundation), you’d have floors that are bumpy and not straight. The stairs are not even. You can’t stack things on top of one another. What a mess. The land has to have the trees removed (including the stumps and roots), rocks placed elsewhere and the land free of obstacles. You have to do the same.

This part may take the longest of all but once you do it, you’ve accelerated your path toward greatness. You examine your beliefs and determine which ones are limiting and which are the ones you still want to believe it. You look at your beliefs objectively (very difficult) and figure out who instilled them in you (parents, teachers, friends, clergy, media, etc).  Once you have determined where the beliefs came from, you can next evaluate whether or not they are still pertinent and whether or not you should continue to believe them.

Things change and evolve over the years. For instance, there are diseases that didn’t have treatment or vaccines when I was a child but now do. Should I continue to believe these diseases are not treatable? Of course not. These are beliefs I need to dissolve and replace with new beliefs. Remember that a belief is just at thought you keep thinking over and over again.

You can change your beliefs in several ways – you can use denials, you can use affirmations with denials, you can use EFT, etc. custom_text_on_a_shelf_13626Simple analysis with your analytical mind won’t do it although it will help. Beliefs are so embedded in your subconscious that you have to work not only on the cognitive function but also the emotional aspect.

Build the Foundation: Once your old beliefs have been identified and you’ve begun to remove them, you should replace them with the beliefs you choose to embrace at this point in your life. This is creating the foundation for your new life. This phase also consists of learning more about the Universal Laws so that you can understand what is happening in your life and why.

Mirror, Mirror On the Wall

looking_in_mirror_400_clr_5647This post will be short but should prompt you to think a great deal.

Do you realize that everything you see outside of you is merely a reflection of what is inside of yourself? We see a projection of whatever thoughts and feelings we put forth into the Universe. This would seem only natural because of the Law of Attraction – we are attracting to us what it is we feeling and thinking about. What’s the best way for those things we’re focusing on to manifest? In others or in external circumstances.

So, when things are not going the way you’d like them to, take a look around you and see what it is you don’t like. Then take the brave step of asking yourself “what is it about me that is similar to all of this? What am I focusing on that is bringing this type of person/situation into my life?”

This is not that easy to do. Let’s say you’re surrounded by people who are always complaining. Take a day and watch what thoughts go through your mind and what words come out of your mouth. Are they complaints? I find that occasionally when I’ve been driving and not happy with the behavior of other drivers. It’s not long after that that I find myself doing the same kind of driving behavior. It smacks me right in the face and that’s a good, though painful, thing. It reminds me not to judge others – that they are acting just as I am – if I condemn them, then I should be condemned as well. But instead of feeling guilty (for a long time – there’s that initial guilt of course), I focus on changing my behavior so I don’t repeat that cruddy driving practice.

If I’m not having a good day then I look at what it is about that day that I found distasteful or less than I wanted. When I’ve done that I look at my life and see what it is I’m doing/thinking/feeling that is making that come about. If there’s been conflict, then I ask why I need conflict in my life at this time? What is it I’m really looking for – to win something? To be in the battle? Relief from boredom? Distraction from other responsibilities? What is it?

Take some time to look inside when you’re seeing something outside that you don’t like.

Let us know in the comment section what you’ve realized.

Momentum Monday

momentum-monday1

Everything that has ever been lived, everything that has ever been written down or documented, has been vibration first. Everything has been conjured in vibration first before it manifests. So if something has manifested and you continue to give it your attention, the fact that it is true should really hold no weight with you. The question that we would ask is not, is it true, or is it undeniable? The question that we would ask is, how does it make me feel when I focus upon it? And if the answer to the question is, it doesn’t make me feel very good when I focus upon it, then we would say, true or not, it does not serve you. And if you will activate a different part of your vibration—the “truth” will shift.

Excerpted from the workshop: El Paso, TX on March 28, 2002

The most important part of this quote is that it tells us to stop focusing on the things in our life that we don’t like or want. If we keep looking at something we will be focusing on it. If you have a mess in the middle of the floor (let’s say a pile of dirty clothes) you have to move around it so you’ll pay more attention to it than perhaps you’d like. Since you have to be careful about how you’re moving around it, you’re focusing on it so you keep seeing a pile of dirty clothes. If that doesn’t make you feel very good, it doesn’t serve you. So what do you do? You either leave it there and let it continue to bother you more and more or you pick up the clothes and you’ll now have a nice clean pathway and can focus essentially on the emptiness and the freedom you have for walking there. You might just have moved the pile to another room that you don’t frequent often so even though the “truth” is that there still is a pile of dirty clothes in your house, it’s not something in your focus and no longer is making you feel bad. You are focusing on the new “truth” – the freedom/emptiness.

Tell us what you can focus on this week to activate a different part of your vibration. Then tell us how that made you feel.

Act “As If” – Bring Home That Oscar

act as if ticketsYou’ve heard this all before but it’s so important to help change our lives. I also thought it was good timing since we just had the Emmy Awards. However, this concept should be applied all year round.

You have to “act as if xxxxx” and you fill in the blanks for the x’s. For instance, if you want to be prosperous, you have to act prosperous. If you want to be loving or having loving relationships, you have to act as if you are loving or in a loving relationship.

This is very similar to visualization but it’s the external application in a sense. When you visualize, you see your success in your mind’s eye. When you “act as if”, you behave as if you already have whatever it is you want. And you should do this anyway because you DO already have it (the Universe has manifested if for you, you just have to materialize it now by allowing it into your life). So, if the Universe has delivered it to your doorstep why not do something that gets you closer to the door so you can open it and find that it’s sitting there on your doorstep. You can place your order from a magazine, pay for it, the company fills the order and sends it, the delivery company delivers it to your doorstop. But you might think you didn’t receive it because you haven’t opened your door yet to look on the front porch. One little thing changes your entire view.

So, start acting right now. If you want to be more prosperous, learn about the Wallet Process and the Prosperity Game. These are simple and easy methods to improve your situation. This doesn’t mean to just go spending all your money assuming that more will come in. But don’t be thinking every minute that you can’t afford this or that or that you wish you could afford something. That is focusing on the lack. When you walk by a car dealer that has cars you might like, stand up straight and think about yourself sitting in that car (in fact, you should go in and shop and sit in the car and feel as if it’s yours, smelling the new car smell). I had a friend that finally broke down and bought a new car which she had hesitated doing since she only drove about 3 miles a day. She said it make a phenomenal difference in her outlook because just driving the new car made her feel so prosperous. You can start that process simply by getting in or even taking it for a test drive. You don’t have to buy it. Tell the sales person that you’re interested but not ready to decide yet. Don’t get caught in the “I can’t afford it” blues when you’re talking to the Sales people. Just let them know you’re in the beginning stages and don’t want any pressure.

Use the Wallet Process – put a $100 (or a $50) bill in your wallet – don’t worry – you’re not going to spend it. Then when you pass a store and see something you’d like to have, in your mind imagine and visualize yourself paying for that object with the money in your pocket. Keep doing this over and over. Soon you’ll feel really prosperous – spending as much as you want on whatever you want! And you still have that bill in your pocket.

If you want to have great relationships, act as if your relationships are already where you want them to be. If you’re looking for a partner, then make sure that there is space in your house for that person. Rhonda Byrne in “The Secret” talked about a woman who was desirous of finding her life partner and it never happened so she just assumed that the Law of Attraction didn’t work (or at least didn’t workdirector chair act as if for her). But when asked, she realized there was no space in her house for a partner to move in. Her two car garage was filled with “stuff” on one side and her dressers had clothes in every drawer. The closets were all full. So where was the partner supposed to “live”. Once she cleaned out space for someone new in her life and continued her visualizations and Law of Attraction practices, a man came into her life quickly. She was “acting as if”.

Act confident if you want a new job – that’s not the same as haughty. Just feel self-assured and knowledgeable. Clean your desk (don’t make it obvious to others that you’re planning on leaving – just be cleaning up). Get organized. Perhaps get a new wardrobe depending on what you’ll need at the new job. Read books that are in line with this new employment.

Get the picture? See what you can do. Focus on having what you want and acting as if you’ve opened the door to receive your package. Do not focus on the lack!

Let us know what you do and how it works.

Be Patient (Law of Gestation)

presenting_custom_software_box_15118Even though a woman might want to open her belly and check on her baby every few days (or even hours), she knows that that’s not how it works. There is a specific time frame that the baby needs to be in the womb growing and nurturing before it’s able to survive and materialize into what it’s supposed to be – a baby. She knows she has to wait approximately 9 months for everything to mature properly and if something happens that it’s sooner, sometimes extreme measures have to be taken to make sure the baby does well.

Why am I going on and on about babies? Because it’s the perfect example of the Law of Gestation.

Remember that we go through a few simple steps.

1) We ask for something. That’s easy and it’s why there is so much contrast in our life – we can see what we don’t want and then ask for what we do want.

2) The Universe delivers it. It’s immediately manifested. The Universe doesn’t know if it’s a fleeting thought or not. The Universe is just there to provide us with what we ask for.

3) We have to ALLOW it into our life – that, then, is materialization – when we can actually see and touch whatever it is we asked for. This is the most difficult part for us because we have evolved into creatures that want instant gratification.

There are two particular aspects of the Universal Laws that serve to protect us.

1) We don’t have enough wisdom so fortunately we don’t have the power to materialize everything we say immediately even if the Universe has manifested it – it has not been brought into our lives. A good example of this is this: A mother is outside and sees her sons playing way up in the top branches of a tree. The mother panics and screams for the kids to get down but this is what she says – “Get down from there or you’ll fall and break your neck”. Aren’t we glad at that point that we can’t immediately materialize what we say or think. If we had such power and ability the boys would fall and break their necks.

2) The Law of Gestation. It’s funny how we can accept this law in nature and other parts of life but not with ourselves. You wouldn’t plant a rose seed or an acorn and then the next day dig it up to see how it was doing or be upset that it hadn’t poked above the surface yet. You know that there is a specific time that the seed has to be buried and go through the various stages before this tiny little round object becomes a beautiful flowering plant.
