As you continue working on your 2015 inventory, think about this saying. I know it’s had meaning for me. But, I have to believe that things are falling into place even when I can’t see what that place is.  I think that’s the problem. We always want to be able to see what’s coming up so we can decide if it’s what we want or not…That’s kind of funny as I write it. That approach is NOT one of faith, nor does it say we have much confidence in our ability to work with the Law of Attraction.

This saying fits quite well with “Everything always works out for me” because if I know that everything is always going to work out for me, then I know that no matter what is happening, it is for the good. It is falling into place. It may not be a place I predicted but remember that when we place our order we should NOT be outlining – outlining is telling the Universe how we want something to occur. Our job is just to “place our order” and then let the Universe find the best way to deliver it. Often times, we don’t do a very good job of “placing our order” – maybe this is  a good time to briefly review what you have to do to get the order actually placed in the Universal Catalog.

  • Decide what it is you actually want. Sometimes this is easier to do by simply listing what you don’t want and then describing the opposite. Make sure that it resonates with you deep inside.
  • Be specific about what you want – go into great detail (this is one of the reasons I’m having you write your script for next year – so you can list the details). For example, you can’t just say you want a “lasting relationship” or an “intimate relationship” because you could have either of those with an abusive criminal or someone who hates everything you like.
    • Write out the specifics and go into the greatest detail you can.
    • Always end with “this or something better”
  • Read the list over again and make sure it’s really what you want.
  • Do NOT allow yourself to be swayed. When you do that, you’ll never get what you want.
  • Do NOT doubt that you’ll get what you’ve asked for – no matter how long it seems to take (remember the Law of Gestation).

Place your 2016 order now!

Michael Hyatt Puts Up Another Winner!

I just had to link to this post by Michael Hyatt.

It’s called Don’t Quit Before The Whistle Blows

I encourage you to read the whole post but it’s about how we respond to setbacks and the bottom line is how we respond says at least 3 things about us:

  1. Our response builds our character. Very often in those moments where we are tempted to bail, our character is a stake. Character isn’t fixed. As Oscar Wilde said, it’s made and unmade by our decisions. When we push through difficulty and see things to the end, we’re developing our character in a positive way. When the urge to walk off the field comes—and it will—ask yourself what kind of person you want to be.
  2. Our response tests our true abilities. Whatever we think about ourselves or the future, if we walk off the track, we never really know what we’re capable of or what was truly possible.Kampf could have finished without giving it her all, and no one probably would have noticed—except her. Instead, she marshaled her strength and found out what her true potential was.

And it surprised her. “That last 50 meters, I hit a gear that I never knew I had,” she said. A setback can bring out our best if we’ll play full out regardless.

  3. Our response impacts others. Kampf wasn’t just running for herself. She was running for her team, for her school, for her family and community. The impact of her decision was far-reaching—even down to us discussing it today. There’s something at stake in every decision to stay in the game that goes well beyond ourselves. Quitting not only robs ourselves of needed character development and a deeper understanding of ourselves, it has an immeasurable impact on those around us.

Thanks to Michael Hyatt for this great Saturday piece.

What Matters Most?

iStock_000014201661Small I was in Whole Foods yesterday looking to get my lunch – I’m a creature of habit so my lunch is always a salad and chicken.  I go to the salad bar first and then to another section to get the hot chicken. Easy, right? How much more simple can it get?

But lately there must have been a change in the management or something because the selections have changed (not to my liking, of course) and frequently they don’t have chicken.

Well, yesterday was a double whammy – there was no spinach so I put the other components in the box, knowing I had plenty of spinach at home and could use that. Things were not so bad at that point. I headed off to the “smoked” bar (no, not that kind of bar) and on the way I wanted to get some more protein powder but they didn’t have the size that I wanted so I didn’t get that. By the time I got to where the chicken should have been I was already bummed out. Then I found out I was too early for the chicken (if they even had it that day) because only one item was out on the display. So, my whole day was ruined – wasn’t it?

It could have been “ruined” if I’d let it. And I was starting to let it get to me. But then I went to get my weekly supply of Salmon jerky and one of the guys who is so pleasant waited on me and we talked a bit so my disappointment was a bit further back in my mind.  Then I headed to the checkout line.

It was a bit busy so I scanned the checkers (I have my favorites – going to Whole Foods is like a ritual for me – stop laughing). I didn’t see anyone I knew so I decided on the lane closest to the door. But as I was walking toward it, I heard “Terrie, I’m open”. I looked up and it was one of my favorite people (she’s a runner too). We had a great conversation, as usual, and laughed a lot. It was fun and uplifting. Contact with these folks is great. Some of them have even become friends.

I left Whole Foods feeling great!

Much different than I was feeling just a few minutes prior. Why?

What matters most? Whether or not a certain object or food was in stock and available OR interaction with a human being – where you might learn something about someone or you might even cheer them up and make them happy? Which lasts longer? The object? The feeling you get from being with others? Of course it’s the feeling and emotions you have when you interact with others. The food is just that, food. It will be ingested and be gone. Same if it were an object.

So next time you’re feeling disappointed by something, examine what it is that’s disappointed you and go find someone to interact with (email, phone, text, talk – just be with a living being) and be grateful for their being in your life and bringing you love, joy, satisfaction. See how long the feelings last and how you feel all day long. I bet it will be alot longer than if they had the “object” you were initially disappointed in.

Always ask “What matters most?”

Thanks to All of You – I Am Back In The Saddle Again

I wasn’t on the site much yesterday as I tried various ways to “move on”. This a.m. as I came to post a New Day Thought (or a New Thought Day 🙂  ) I saw how many wonderful comments you guys made and my heart was filled with even greater joy and comfort. I  do know what has come from all this and all your support and I intend to surprise you with it in the next week or two – I think you’ll enjoy it. But I have all of you to thank for it! This event, this year and your support has changed my life dramatically – and all for the good. There were obstacles even up to the end (even though it didn’t end – the lack of completion was a big part of it) and there were joys up to the end…but it’s not the end. For something even better has come from it.

Not only do I have you all to thank but as I wrote yesterday, my EFT practitioner (Kay) really got me back in alignment and I am forever indebted to her. She helped me get right about my decision (and the timing was perfect) and she helped me move forward past the resistance I was having that was making me feel “stuck” yesterday. I highly recommend EFT for almost any issue you’re having. She has brought me through the last 2 years and my life has completely changed through using EFT.

I am back in the saddle and ready to go forward – both with my running and my life – and you all will be the ones that benefit from that. Thanks again and stay tuned to see what I have to offer you! Just remember that we all need coaches and you guys have been there helping me (coaching me) and giving back and I am truly grateful and appreciative.

I feel very blessed and honored to be a part of your family!
