It’s Not “All In Your Head” – It’s Really “All In Your Heart”

its-not-in-your-head-but-in-your-heartWhen someone tells you it’s all in your head, you can now correctly tell them that if it is, it’s not powerful at all.

What matters as far as influencing your life is concerned is what’s in your heart. It’s all about the feelings (and vibrations) you have. These feelings are what brings things into your life – both desired and not so desirable things. The Law of Attraction is not thought based alone. Of course, there are thoughts involved but it’s the feelings those thoughts generate that bring more of the same into your life.

For example, just to think “I have to pay my bills” does not necessarily create strong emotions. It could possibly be just an internal/mental “to do” list and then you move on to some other thought.

But, if you follow the “I have to pay my bills” with “nuts, I don’t have enough money in my account so I don’t know which ones I’m going to be able to pay this month. What am I going to do? I’m so worried.” This is an entirely different story. This type of thought definitely generates an emotional (and stressful) response. And one that focuses on lack at that. So you have a very strong vibration surrounding lack mentality. Guess what that will bring into your life – more lack!

See if you can change the above follow-on thought to “I have to pay my bills and I am really happy to be able to have enough money to help others pay their bills since there are people just like me that work for the companies I’m paying and I know they have families to support. It feels so great to be able to help them!” This is such a positive thought (and requires absolutely no more effort and no more money outlay on your part) that it will bring you positive results – others will be returning to you what they owe you and you’ll receive even greater benefits from the Universe. And it’s so easy to have thoughts like that. Just writing it made my vibrational level raise significantly. It felt like fun and made me very happy to have that thought of helping others just by doing something I have to do anyway.

This falls into the category of creating a “Better Feeling Thought”.

See what you can do this week when you start to have a thought that in the past you’ve perhaps followed a negative lead. See if you can turn that thought and its resultant feeling around to the positive!

There’s Always Enough

custom_clothespinned_paper_16139Remember when we talked about the economy being a mirror or you and your beliefs?

This is more on that subject and a very important “more”. It affects your every day life.

If you repeatedly think that there isn’t enough, you are constantly in a state of lack. This keeps your momentum at bay, sets up a low level (and in some cases a high level) stress response in your body. You do NOT function well when your body is experiencing the stress response. You may think you and the reason is that in this day and age pretty much everyone experiences this chronic low level stress and we consider it normal. Stress keeps you in your fight, flight (or even freeze) mode and this is for survival – survival right this minute, not in the future. So you don’t have time or the ability to project into the future.

When you think of not having enough, you will attract more of that lack to you. That isn’t what you want but you’ve been conditioned all your life to think that what is going on around you reflects ACCURATELY what will (or is) happen in your life. That couldn’t be further from the truth. It appears this way because you repeat the cycle over and over again. You think about lack, attract lack and obviously get more lack. I would imagine that this belief has been instilled in you since childhood and then added to by the media, teachers, friends and continued family input.

You have to believe in the Universe and in how all throughout the ages, there has been enough of everything – “enough” always appears. That’s why we shouldn’t panic about gas “shortages” or food “shortages” – the Universe will always provide. Someone always comes up with a new alternative, another way to provide what you need.

Take some time and go back through your life and try to find places and times where you were just “sure” you wouldn’t have enough. But then out of nowhere came your saving grace.

Put this mantra right up there with the other couple I’ve given you – “There’s always enough” – whenever you feel scared that you’re not going to have enough time, money, energy, ideas or anything, repeat this over and over again until that anxiety and panicky feeling disappears and you can concentrate on other things in life. Keep doing this repeatedly whenever that feeling or thought pops into your brain.

Try it – there really IS always enough!

Tuesdays With Terrie

tuesdays-with-terrie-cropped“What’s up Doc?” might be a better lead in for this week’s episode.

I’m two days away from the operating room.

Needless to say I’m worried. I have never used my favorite saying so much in my life. “Everything always works out for me” – over and over again.

I’ve also been using my favorite technique for reducing anxiety and fear – EFT (emotional freedom technique). Fortunately I worked with an EFT practitioner weekly for about 2-3 years so I know what to do and where to go with this. However, I’ve also made an appointment with another EFT practitioner I really respect to fine tune my tapping since when you’re in the middle of things, you can miss some key points. That’s my belief about coaching and an EFT practitioner is a coach.

A Coach helps you get where you need to go but you do the work and you provide the direction.

This past 2 weeks have been a whirlwind of thoughts, emotions and activity. I’ve had to prioritize my life and if others can’t deal with my decisions I just have hoped they would understand and get over it.

Just what I needed at work yesterday – someone got their feelings hurt because I told them to get out of my chair. Really? And I’m upset with myself for letting it bother me that that person is upset with me. Shows me that I really don’t have all my priorities straight.

“Everything always works out for me” – over and over again and again…ha ha. I can tease but it really is true and saying that and “Nothing and no one can interfere with my health and well-being, not even myself”. This is another important phrase in my vocabulary right now.

Remember that I’m a physician and I know what can go wrong. If I were to focus on those things, what would happen? I’d most likely attract that into my life and I surely don’t want that. So, I use these two statements to get my mind back on a better and higher plane and increase  my vibrations so that I set up the best possible environment and situation for myself.

Hopefully I’ll be out of the hospital in time to provide next week’s update. Take care for now.

Momentum Monday

momentum-monday1“There is nothing that you’re wanting to know that you do not have the capacity to understand fully. And there is nothing that you’re wanting to know that the Universe does not already know that you want to know, and has already begun the process of answering. And so, go forth in excited anticipation that the new ideas will continue to bubble forth, and that the Universal Forces will continue to come forth in loving, benevolent, eternal answering to that which you are about. —Abraham [Excerpted from the workshop: Albany, NY on October 01, 2001]

This follows along with last week’s Momentum Monday. The Universe knows what you want and it has already started to create it for you. It’s in the warehouse ready  for delivery. Use “Show me” in order to understand things that you want to understand better. Go back over the Spiritual Laws and find the ones that help you find a way to understand all that you want to know about. Read the Law of Circulation and the Law of Realization.

Just know that anything you’ve asked for in your mind has already been manifested and rejoice in that fact! Be excited, anticipate its arrival but be happy in its existence in your imagination. Remember the POWs that used to get through all those years of torture and isolation by going deep within their minds and finding beauty there. This got them through it all. Use your mind for something other than worrying. Use it for joyous thoughts and ideas.

Journal about these things. If you’ve imagined a car you want, journal about riding in it with the new car smell, the windows open and the wind blowing in your hair, etc.

One Size Does Not Fit All!

prohibited_text_11507I think one thing that’s wrong with our immediate all-encompassing access to “everything you ever wanted to know about anything” type life” is that you have to realize that in so many aspects of your life, one size does NOT fit all. You have to personalized what works for you.

What a boring world this would be if that were not the case. Everything and everyone would be the same – just like an army of robots. Don’t you think that would be very mundane and cause you to lose interest in life in general?

So why do we search out the one way to do things? The easy way supposedly. People are always selling the ONE way to do things…and unfortunately we fall prey to believing that if it worked for them it MUST work for us. But then we get disappointed when we find out it doesn’t work for us. We think that there is something wrong with us. That’s not the case at all. It’s just that what works for someone else does not necessarily work for us.

We have to take the ideas of others and try them out in various combinations to find out what clicks inside of us. It’s only through experimentation and open mindedness that we’ll know what OUR magic solution is.

The worst thing you can do is think that you are a failure because something that worked for someone else didn’t work for you. You are an individual and you have to find your own way in life.  You have to determine what works for you. First, you have to make sure your “why” is aligned with what you are trying to do. Is your heart really in this? Is this something you want to do above all else? If so, then you can continue with passion. Passion is the key ingredient to not giving up, to making it work for you, to finding your way.

All of the variation is based on the fact that we each have different beliefs and when we believe in something, then there is a greater likelihood that it will work. If we do not have that strong belief, then our hearts won’t be in it and our success will not be great, if at all. You have to model the proposed solution to your beliefs and your conscience. You have to feel that it will work for you, not just others.

One size does NOT fit all and what works for someone else will not necessarily work for you. Accept that and rejoice in it. Take that realization and run with it creating your personalized success formula.
