Momentum Monday

We want to help you regain clarity about your individual power. Everyone has it. No one can ever take it away from you. No one can ever do anything “bad” to you. No one can assert into your experience. Everything, without exception, comes only by your individual invitation to it. Do you understand the process of asking? When you give something your attention and it becomes your dominant vibration relative to the subject—that is your asking. So, deliberate creating is not so much about looking out into the world and saying, “Oh, there are things that are good that I want to create or attract into my experience, and there are things that are bad that I don’t want to create or attract into my experience.” Deliberate creating is more about deliberate allowing. Deliberate allowing is more like deliberate vibration.

—Abraham

Excerpted from the workshop: San Francisco, CA on March 08, 2003

It’s important to grasp the essence of this quote – you have power! It is yours and as Abraham said, no one can take it away from you.  Have you ever caught yourself saying “you hurt my feelings”? If you have individual power, how can someone outside of you hurt YOUR feelings? You have chosen to feel hurt by something that person did or said. Another person might not react the same way.

It’s essential that we recognize this and acknowledge it. Take responsibility for how we feel. We cannot blame it on other people. If we do, we abdicate all our power and become puppets. I know that at times all of us feel as if we have absolutely no control. But if we’re able to remove ourselves from that situation for a bit, we’ll be able to see that we actually still do have control and can extract ourselves from it. Once we’re able to recognize that, our feelings will improve almost immediately.

The problem we have is that we either don’t take the opportunity to go someplace else to regroup or we don’t want to. We might want to feel like a victim, at least for awhile anyway. That may be what we need in order for the momentum of that moment to run out. But it’s better for our focus and discipline if we can remove ourselves and redirect our thoughts and feelings.

You have two choices this week – one is to just let things happen and then journal about what you observed and what you did or didn’t do.

The other choice is to make a conscious effort to remove yourself when a situation develops that has your momentum heading south. See if you can redirect it. Then journal about that too.

Let me know how things went.

You Are What You Thought…. AND What You Feel

you-are-what-you-thoughtYou always hear “You are what you think”. But that’s only partially true.  That sentence should be reworded to “you become what you think and feel”. What you currently ARE is a result of what you’ve thought and felt prior to right now. In other words, what you “thought” before.

It doesn’t really do anyone any good to wonder “why me”, “why did this happen to me” because they don’t really want the answer which is that we have brought everything into our lives that we have. The Law of Attraction always words – even when things aren’t as we wish. The Law of Attraction doesn’t work only with the things we say we desire.

Everything in our lives was brought there by our thoughts and feelings. Always remember that. When you start to get angry at someone or criticize someone or some thing, ask yourself what you’re feeling right now and if you really want more of that in your life.  Because you are focusing on that emotion and pretty strongly perhaps, too, if you’re angry.

That emotion is what you are focusing on and what you are putting out to the Universe. Remember that the Universe stands ready to bring you whatever it is you’re looking for and concentrating on. When you put such emotion into a thought or feeling such as anger, the Universe doesn’t know that it’s just a temporary thing. It thinks (if it could think) “wow, Terrie is really focusing on that thing…she must want more”.

Life is Like An Ultramarathon

stick_figure_running_icon_400_clr_3621Boy is this a great post for me right now. As you may remember, I’m training for a massive ultramarathon – 314 miles across the state of Tennessee. Last week for the first time I finally began to question whether or not I could actually do this event.  I still do not know the answer to that question.

People think life is a sprint and if something doesn’t work right away, they think it’s never going to work. This is one of the most common reasons people refute the Law of Attraction and say it doesn’t work. They feel that it should work right away as soon as they say an affirmation, think some positive thoughts or so something else. Without understanding the nature of the Law and how it works, they think that if they don’t get what they think they want right away, the Law either doesn’t work or doesn’t work for them. But they don’t realize that they really haven’t changed their feelings or emotions sufficiently to get the Universe moving their desire toward them. Remember that the steps are #1) Ask – you do that constantly through contrast – you find out what you want by identifying what you don’t want, #2) The Universe delivers – once you’ve asked, the Universe provides it for you. You have manifested your desire. But remember that manifestation and materialization are different things and materialization depends on Step #3) Allowing. This is where we have the most trouble. We have to consistently be in a space where our vibrations (emotions) will allow the gift that the Universe has created for us to come into our lives.

Step 3 is where the life is like an ultramarathon comes in. You can’t expect to go directly from  a life of thinking about poverty or lack immediately into a life of amazing prosperity and abundance. Our vibrations, emotions and beliefs don’t change that quickly. When you do a sprint you are simply focused on a fast time and perhaps winning, not on any changes. When you participate in an ultramarathon, there is more concentration on completing the distance even if there’s not a large amount of speed involved. You learn more about yourself because you have time to think about your life and you have time to make changes in your strategy. Maybe you have to go slower or even take a break. You might have to stop and eat something or get more fluids. Anything can change in an ultramarathon. It’s the distance that counts and that involves understanding yourself and your environment and being prepared to handle anything that comes along. It’s a problem solving adventure. You bring what you have learned in life and in training into the event but you also know that anything can happen and to be successful, you have to be able to roll with the punches.

Be patient. Remember the Law of Gestation. You don’t plant corn and then every day yell at the ground and kick it up because it hasn’t produced an ear yet. You know it’s going to take a certain amount of time and you are patient. Same with a baby – you don’t expect to find out you’re pregnant today and then be upset that the baby hasn’t been delivered tomorrow. If you can understand that the Law of Attraction also works with the Law of Gestation and you have to continue to water and feed your desire without stirring up the dirt around it, it will blossom in its time. The most effective method is to plant your desire, increase your vibration to the point where you really do “know” it will come to you and then let it go!

I told you last week or the week before that what you give out comes back to you. I proved this again to myself this past week. I had given money to someone in much greater need and given it freely and without any expectations or attachments.  Then this past week I finally got around to going to the bank to deposit my old IRS return. I hadn’t even opened it because I “knew” how much it was for. Well, I got  into the car and started to fill out the deposit slip, slit open the envelope and started to laugh. The check was for the exact amount I had given my friend.  The exact amount! Can you believe that? I am always amazed at how the law works. That check had gestated on my desk for a very long time and then it was there to replace what I had given out. How much more evidence do you need?

You just have to take your time. You have to let things happen all the while NOT giving up on your practice of the Law. Do NOT lower your vibration by thinking “nuts, I knew it wouldn’t work”, “It’s not going to work because I don’t deserve anything good to happen”, “Why does it work for everyone else except me”. And worse yet, do not move back into your lack thinking. Because if you do, you will simply attract more lack. That is probably the hardest part. For instance, when you receive another bill, write on it and bless it. Thank it for coming to remind you of the prosperity that is yours and that the Universe is delivering to you. View that bill as a demonstration of you having plenty of money that you are so happy to pay it because you know you are helping others out there that will benefit from the income you are providing them when you pay the bill. Never look at it as “how on earth am I going to pay this?”, “see, I knew I was not going to be prosperous”, “how can I possibly be prosperous when I keep getting bills.” Think of this as you being the employer for all who have contributed service or labor leading to this statement of wealth in your hands. It’s really all about how you look (and feel) at/about your circumstances.

Try to turn all your negative thoughts around.  Start with traffic lights – call them “Go lights” as Zig Ziglar does – he says they are there to make your travel go smoother and safer. Don’t think of them as “Stop lights” – try this for a few days.

Change another word and see what a difference it makes. Instead of “have to” or “I’ve got to” do something, catch yourself and say “I get to do something.” I made a conscious effort every morning when I said goodbye to my dog. In the past I had said “I’ve got to go to work now”. Then I changed it to either “I get to go to work now” or “I am going to work now”. I eliminated any of the sensations/thoughts/feelings associated with the “have to” statement. Because you know what? I really didn’t have to go to work. I could have quit. But I was fortunate to have the job (and still am very fortunate) and so I changed my attitude to express the appreciation I have for the job. It made a great deal of difference in my outlook and I could even feel my vibrations soar when I changed that wording.

Try one or two of these things. Start training now for your ultramarathon. It won’t be over in a few minutes, days or even months. Lay the groundwork (the base training) and practice until it becomes habit for you.

Let me know how it’s going and if you have any questions. Put them in the comment box!

“What separates people that get what they want out of life from those people who do not get what they want out of life is their response to challenges.”
Dr. Steven G. Jones

Although I don’t believe this is the only thing that separates these two groups of people, it’s an extremely important point.

Think about yourself and how you respond to a challenge. Do you crawl up in a ball and want to die? Sometimes that’s ok initially. What’s not productive is when that behavior or thought process continues on and on and on. Do you get mad and decide that this is not going to beat you? That you’ll find a way to conquer the challenge, to climb up and over whatever obstacle is in your way? That is the way of the warrior, the person who excels at life.

Remember that there are two different vibrations at play when you are confronted with a problem. There is the vibration of the problem and if you continue to think about the “problem”, you will stay on that lower vibration and not move anywhere – you are focusing on the problem so that is what you’ll get more of. Maybe the problem won’t get worse but it won’t get any better either when your vibration remains on the problem.

You have to raise your vibration to the level of the solution – a much higher vibration. Instead of thinking about and focusing on the problem, concentrate on the solution. Tell the Universe you are ready to receive the answer and you know that it’s out there waiting to be delivered to you.

Think back to your past and think about when you’ve discovered a solution to something – what have you felt like when you’ve been in the process? Maybe take a look at a time at work when a problem has been identified. Everyone might respond with “oh nuts, what do we do now?” But then you all got your heads together and brainstormed until you figured it out. What kind of elation did you all feel? Use that as  “Kodak Moment” to elevate your vibration when you’re after a solution to your current problem.

I don’t even use the word problem once I’ve identified what it is. I think about how great it’s going to be when I come up with the solution to x, y, z – describing the situation if I must. Or preferably I use something that’s brief but objectively describes the situation. Then I go right back to looking for the solutions – opening my heart and mind to the Universe to deliver the answer to me.  I use some of the processes we’ve talked about – the 68 second process, rampage of appreciation and even the “wouldn’t it be nice if….”.  If you’re skeptical or it’s the first time, you can use “I’m in the process of….”

Next time you come across a challenge, immediately switch to the solution seeking mode and your vibration will automatically elevate with you! Try it, you’ll like it. Don’t dwell on the problem.  Move out and move up!

Law of Attraction in Action – Justification

I came across this post by Daylle Deanna Schwartz titled “Law of Attraction in Action – Justification” and thought you’d like to see how other people have worked with vibrations in their clients. You can say one thing but really mean another and your vibration will

loa-in-action_5a

simply reflect what you really mean. Remember that it’s the feelings behind your thoughts that make the difference and put the Law of Attraction into action. So, if you tell people that you keep affirming that you have enough money to pay the bills but deep down inside you’re thinking “yeah, right, I hope it works this time because I have all these bills and I haven’t seen any change at all since I’ve been saying these dumb affirmations”. Ever think that? Ever have any of the reactions that Daylle lists here? We all have – and that’s why we

have thought at times that the Law of Attraction doesn’t work. But it does – it works all the time but it aligns with your vibrations. Your goal is to make sure you work very diligently to keep your inner vibrations on the positive side so that you attract to you more like what you really want. You can even use the “Celebrate the Closeness of the Match” to improve this. You may find that you get something similar to what you asked for but doesn’t match exactly. Well, instead of being critical about the fact that it doesn’t match, celebrate how close it really did come. I ran 7 miles Saturday and although my endurance isn’t where I want it to be, instead of just complaining about that, I rejoiced when I could run up a hill without stopping and especially when I realized it was close to 100 degrees out. So I was happy and that brought my vibration to a much higher level and it will bring me more endurance the next time I go out.

Click here for the complete article.

There are so many Law of Attraction and Abraham-Hicks processes that are simple, yet very effective in changing your vibrations and improving the chances that the Law of Attraction will bring you what you decide you want instead of responding to the lower level vibrations you generate with your essentially defeated thoughts. Check out F.A.V.E. (Focus, Attraction, Vibration and Emotion) and change your life today!
